Hi,

Basically coins that are already in development, not necessarily ICOs. Would it be too late to wait for them to be listed on popular exchanges like Bittrex?

I just want to have a single source just like coinmarketcal where can I read about upcoming coins so I can read about the concept behind them, etc. So I can decide if they could get big and/or with some discussions, etc.

Otherwise when people mention a coin, it's always already way too big. Not too late but not as early as one could get 100x return vs 10x for one year for example.

That's one question which I am pondering as well. There are so many things happening at the same time, you just can't keep track of all of them.
Would love to hear some kind of advice on it. I watch coinmarketcap a lot, youtube to find out about things, twitter.. But it is not the most efficient way of getting the information

There are many coins that are not yet listed in big exchanges and you can check them in coinmarketcap.com.

My strategy to check the coins because it is hard for them to filter in the altcoin section is in the recently added section in coinmarketcap.

For the ERC20 tokens, I always check the twitter account of etherdelta. Usually, when these coins are listed, there is a tendency for them to double or triple in value before being listed in other exchanges. https://twitter.com/etherdelta

Im googling it or find instagram account about bitcoin and getting know with some friend that know much about bitcoin

It is easy to do so, but sometimes it might be a difficult task because you are going to be paying attention to the whole project, the team, the whitepaper, the community, and a lot of things.

Dont guide yourself only on the return and how much profit you can take, because you will lose everything on a bad decision.

There are many information if coins will be rising, in email, thread discussion also you can check spot market if the coins have rising :)

Not just return but I wanna invest in coins I think are sound. Also investing a small amount, not everything.

I've always check Etherdelta for their new announcement. Then research about the coin. I've also check in cryptocompare.com and check the public portfolio and try to find out why they invested heavily on this coin

What are you guys looking at etherdelta? Is it an exchange? I don't see any announcements?

Seriously, there is no shortcut. You will have to keep looking for news on multiple platforms. Check all the subreddits regarding cryptocurrencies, check coindesk, check cointelegraph, check bitcointalk forums, even check random blogs for latest news. There are also online reminders like coinmarketcal.com which will allow you to see upcoming events but really it all boils down to really putting in the effort to actively look for these coins.

You can find it all in Google search, type upcoming ICO and nee ICOs. You'll see a lot of ICOs listed, even earlier, currently running and on sale and upcoming ICOs that will probably more interesting than relying on the forum.

For me I just download the application called "ICO Showroom" on the google apps and periodically check the website coinschedule or ico calendar. Just to gather information to decide in what coin I should invest. Thanks, happy investing.

Etherdelta is indeed an exchange and the coins listed are already passed out their hard caps and their coins are ready to trade so looking ICOs in Etherdelta and other Cryptocurrency exchanges aren't a good idea because they're old coins that already gained popularity and investors.
It's better to look some listed ICOs somewhere else than in the forum or Etherdelta or any Cryptocurrency exchange.  

I don't think there is any single source where upcoming altcoin is listed. The good coin that rises is always as a result o hard work of the dev and the the community. You can always follow on new listing on exchange for hint.

Etherdelta and Cryptocurrency exchange aren't supporting upcoming ICOs because they're not yet circulated properly and some of them are just declaring information and announcements to the market, to the people and investors.
Cryptocurrency exchange will then add or support the coins when ICO is finally over and hard cap was reached.

I guest you must find on www.coinmarketcap.com for upcoming coin.

And if upcoming ICO try to visit www.tokenmarket.net

There are a lot of coins that are on the exchanges that still ahve the potential for 10-100x. even on Bittrex you have them. They are the ones with lwoer volume and small marketcaps. But there is a reason for why those coins haven't taken off:
- Either the technology isn't that great and it doesn't have the real life adoption that it needs
- The coin is still unknown or the technology potential unclear

It is the second typ of coin you want to find. The only way to do that is to do your research on the coins you find interesting to by yourself determine if the coin has potential and possible adoption before everyone else.

Even smaller coins normally isn't on Bittrex but can be found on EtherDelta, Cryptopia, Binance etc... Since not as much trading is going on at these exchanges there are many coins that haven't yet taken off on them

Another way is to be here at BitCoinTalk and read ANN threads on ALT Coins ;)

Many ways possible for that.  You can look at Rating pages, Review pages. Websites like coinschedule will tell you about upcoming ICOs or successful projects. Altcoins are shown in coinmarketcap, there are so many.

Twitter, Facebook, bitcointalk are the three most important ways, of course, you can also refer to slack or telegram to some of the group's opinion, but in the end you have to have your own opinion.

It is a many source to find a upcoming coins . If you search mobile apps and you can get a some feature that is show upcoming ICO and you can easily found which coin is upcoming . Best thing to do is to read this forum extensively and follow news about crypto so that you maybe become updated about what is coming.

You can seaching all info about new coin in this forum! This is a big forumm for any dev want to more people know about it! Great support and huge real member!

Join Telegram groups, most upcoming ICOs start to share their projects talking to people through Telegram

Finding upcoming coins i check it on their website coinmarket and joining on their telegram get an update through email.

There is no one single place you can go to find out this info, but this forum is definitely a great start..
Look in the Altcoin section for ANN threads of new projects as they will generally appear here before anywhere else.

Staying on top of all this info is definitely a big job and one I spend many hours each week doing..
There is no easy way, it takes lots and lots of homework..  ;)

Check websites like coinschedule, or review sites like icorating.com and icotoinvest.com.

It is easy to do so, but sometimes it might be a difficult task because you are going to be paying attention to the whole project, the team, the whitepaper, the community, and a lot of things.
This is a bit like the stock market, is a good investment target, you need to seriously study. When you've discovered the potential after you've studied it, buy it and hold it, it will give you huge rewards.

The truth is you may have to do a lot of digging to find these coins. Most of these coins really do not get listed immediately on some of these big exchanges, but you can still find them on Etherdelta. However, these coins are really much and that would take some high level of scrutiny to be able to know which would end up successful at least or not. I would not want to be too in haste for 100x return though but you may be lucky.

I recently bought into COSS, which is a good project that not much people even know much about and luckily for me, the coin is increasing greatly in the market now and I am going to be holding that coin for as long as I can.

It would be hard to identify the developing with future and with future but no development. The only choice you have is to invest or hold it in The following(risks involved) : BTC(Bitcoin)=Main
BCH(Bitcoincash)=Fork  ETH(Ethereum)=Altcoin
BTG(Bitcoingold)=Fork  LTC(Litecoin)=Altcoin. Those are the successive Coins so far.

I think the major factor that you need is to keep researching on the cryptocurrency. Theres a lot of resources out there. It is not really guarantee you a success even though you can see what coin is upcoming. You really need to dig hard. I suggest that you should look and read some reliable articles regarding on the coin you desired. Some coins are old that in fact already gain some investments. Do the research and I think it would be worth it. Good luck!

Just keep research on google you will see it because all information is in there google , ang you can there in furom because some of them are sharing and post to it.

Coinmarketcap has really been a lot of help but knowing that you just cannot get your head around most of them as they are just so much, I try to just get on some altcoin news online to probably do some research on some of them.
I remember how I always get so confused and tired trying to use coinmarketcap considering the number of the coins in the market, and how long it takes to at least do some thorough research on a coin.

This is one good way to go about it for very new altcoins. Nevertheless, there are still some coins that have been added in the market for a long time now and still very much undervalued. These coins are hard to find unless you did not miss them in their early stage, but with some news and forums like this, they have really helped in getting a hint of some coins and selecting them to do some research.

I saw someone else mention it but Telegram gruops could be a one way to learn more about a coin but the Telegram groups i have joined so far haven't had much deep discussions but more of an open chat.

Discord App is another way, find the Discord App of a coin can often give you insider information to what is going on before it happens if you want to trade on news that haven't been made fully public yet. But there it could be hard to sort fact from fiction :)

Do some research in upcoming coins. There are lots of information given by the google and it somehow trusted. Just be sure that you will gather basic information in coins that you want to invest or trade. You can also take a look with etherdelta or CMC. Be resourceful!
