Title: Bitcoin Meetup Dinners in NYC?
Post by: box0211 on July 22, 2013, 05:45:08 PM
Hi,

I help host the BitcoinNYC meetup in NYC at xcubicle. We usually have about 20-30 that show up for the meetup and about 15-19 that come for dinner afterwards at a chinese restaurant in a family style format. I wanted to get a take on the community if it would be a good idea to do these bitcoin dinners much more frequently for those that couldn't make it to our Tuesday meetups.

My concern is that we can't eat out all the time as organizers as we are doing this for free and some of us do not have jobs at the moment to be able to eat out every day. Would it be wise to ask for donations or charge a fee to make up the organizing of these events?
