Title: Problem with BIOS mod RX 570 Pulse OC 4GB
Post by: Cereberus on December 18, 2017, 08:29:00 AM
I read a lot of google guides and saw a lot of youtube videos then started to apply to my cards.

Here is what I did
1) Saved original BIOS from GPU-Z
2) Opened up Polaris 1.6.1 and opened this bios, then clicked One Click Timing Patch
3) Opened up Atiflash and Loaded the modded bios and click Program
4) After it said your Bios was programmed successfully restarted

The card is with yellow esclamation mark on Device manager and Winminer says miner error.

Maybe I have to use Atipixel patcher ? Blockchain drivers installed.

Anything I maybe have missed ?

I also downloaded ROMS from anorach tech website, none seems to work, same problem always. HYNIX memory.

You need to use the pixel patcher with RX 470/480 and 570's. For the PBE 'one click timing patch' Bios mod I get the best results with Polaris Bios Editor v1.6.2. It automatically detects each memory type and adjusts the 1750 MHz and up straps with the bundled performance straps. PBE 1.6.1 adjusts from the 2000 MHz and up straps. PBE v1.6.3 and up adjusts the straps from 1500 MHz and up, but the 1750 MHz straps are more stable.

You should only use the PBE 'one click timing patch' Bios mod with the original Bios from the card.

Thanks I will try to do tomorrow as today I cannot reach the place where I have put my miners and will report back to you if successful or not. I see 31.3 Mhsh on such Hynix memory cards so I really want to mod the Bios. And yes I am only using original BIOS in one timing patch.

By the way is there any method to make 6 cards bios modification at once, I have six of them and all have Hynix memory so are the same cards?
