Title: BTC transaction stuck in mempool
Post by: RTRWDR on December 18, 2017, 12:02:14 PM
So, one of the common problems has hit me, I have sent some BTC from Ledger wallet to Hashflare to purchase a mining contract but I have set the fee to low so now it's stuck for 2 days. I guess you all know the question next, is there a way to accelerate it? I googled some of BTC accelerators like ViaBTC but none of them seem to function right now...

How low did you set the fee to?

Also, Even transaction accelerators are very unreliable right now. Even ViaBTC's website is crashing because of the traffic. For now, wait for the transaction queue to clear up a bit, or if you're that desperate, use some transaction accelerators that boosts your transaction for a certain fee.

We are currently at 153867 Unconfirmed Transactions. Which is still a lot. Live stats: https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Transaction was sent on 2 days ago, do you think I should be worried? And for the fee, I set 50 sat/byte if I remember right....  :-\ :-\ :-\

According to that TX the fee is only 25 sat/B...

If you ask me this will not get confirmed if you can not find any good accelerator

Found one accelerator that asks me 600$ to send it thru....other's are just crashing. It's a stupid mistake I made. So what happens if it doesn't get confirmed?

Eventually the trasnaction will be dropped and the amount returned to your wallet as unspend but this can take a long time....

Don't use any accelerator that ask for payment, probably they will only pass it to free accelerators so you will just waste your money for it. You can either try and try to submit your transaction to a free accelerator service or you can do CPFP method where you will use the "change" as input to a new transaction and fee higher fees

It is not lost, either it will get confirmed or you get it back as unspend.
