I just started reading your blog and it's really fascinating to document this journey. I bet one day when you become  a millionaire you will be able to show this one day to your kids and grand kids and show them how it was done. I hope I can do something similar as well and keep a diary. This actually could be really fun. Maybe do the same or similar. Start with 1k USD and see where it lands after say 3 years from now as I am probably much older than you. I will be 52 years old in January.

I also do the same, investing 100$ on cryptos under 1$ in the top 100 CMK. I have now ~20 cryptos and it's only the beginning. I hope this strategy will pay off  :D

Someday we should have smart contracts which keep track of that stuff for us, calling itself yearly or something.:)  But I want smart contracts for everything. 

which platform are you using to show that profit/loss screen on your webiste? i have yet to find one that will show me actual gains/losses, so i'm having to calculate it myself.

Sounds a good idea, but can you stick to the five-year post? I feel very difficult this ah. There is a little less money to participate in the experiment. that is great sir, your balance is increased and you make a double profit on your investment. you only need 10 days to gain the profit. I guess you are lucky because you can make a big profit from your list. I think you can sell right now if you want to take the profit or if you want to still hold and waiting for another bigger profit.

First I want to congratulate you for gathering courage for such move. Secondly, that is why so many people join cryptocurrency world this days. There are high chances that they will earn some easy money. But what fears me is, for how long will this bubble last? Because with so much pumping, price of crypto went over its actual worth, and it is just matter of time before it blows. So i would advice you to be careful, and not let your emotions cloud your judgement. Keep the good work and be careful.

This is a very curious experiment. The amount invested is not huge so I think you can stand losses eventually... I will follow your experiment!

It's a really interesting project and makes me curious even to try myself but for now I think it will be more effective for me to just put more money in the projects I believe in.

So your basically doing your own version of crypto 20 but with many more cryptos i love it i'm bookmarking the blog as this is something i've desperately wanted to do myself.

That is quite an interesting project, and I will start tracking you project. In fact I think I will try something similar, because I'm also a buy and hold person. My only fear in investing in altcoins is that I don't know how good they will handle versus bitcoin. Have you checked how much your profit would be if you just holded the $1000 in bitcoins, instead of spreading it over 100 alts?

For beginners to buy and hold is the best way to multiply capital. Therefore, I recommend to all who came to the world of crypto currency, just choose a few coins from the top 10 and keep them for several years

This is the greatest strategy, all traders should do the same.
When buying many cryptos you will be sure some of the them will skyrocket and recover those falling.
Now that you doubled your capital, I think it will be wiser to sell 50% and thus you will have nothing to lose (pure profit).
Anyway, with such strategy, risks of losing are insubstantial.

Oh, you post updates every day. This experiment is very interesting because you can see the weighted average profit of most part of the market. Separately, something is growing, something is falling. Here the concept is to look at a large piece of the market in dynamics. Great idea.

Actually, this is a very innovative approach bro trading, am most fascinated by the idea innovative method of keeping tabs on your trading.  I think I would be emulating this and integrate into my trading technique.

Awesome. Interesting take on altcoins and congratulations on the doubling! I might just do the same thing, but with less coins of course.

The only thing holding me back on doing this is the fact that you don't have any bitcoin. If bitcoin's value surges upward, your entire portfolio will be down. The fiat value of your altcoins may be the same, but your value in bitcoin would already have been much less than what you could have had.

So far also the value in BTC is rising, but let's see how it goes.

Watch out for day 20 when the Bubble will Crumble! If you are long on any coin, day 10 is not something to celebrate. It's either you take your profit and close your position to re-enter at lower price or you hold!

Now the market is growing and I'm glad that you have doubled your investments. When the price drop starts, do y not want to sell the part to buy then cheaper? You say that you will not touch the investment for 5 years. Dude, you have a lot of willpower.

How do you find managing the different exchanges, is it a hassle?  Do you have second accounts from those you may use for other portfolios?  One I note has a poor rep to losing/locking peoples accounts, are you concerned you'll lose a chunk due to this?

10 days is not a representative period of time for this kind of things. You ought to make reports atleast each quarter, no less. Currently the market is very optimistic, but it could be vice versa in just 1 day/week/month and you will get the drawdown.

It was a great read!
But now the market is in massive bull run especially altcoins so these types of gains are easier once the bear market starts you need to readjust your portfolio with some modifications. This is what I'm thinking because the coins will not go up always.

Can you analyze the market movement or growth of top10, top20 and top50 according to your portfolio? That would be great. I would like to see the growth of one month of such portfolio. That would be interested to read. Your experiment was conducted during the bullish alt movement. The result would have been different if it was done in November or October. But still we can analyze a lot of things through this like money movement among altcoins etc.

It is really a fascinating thing to do and I really have never thought of this but from getting your view and reading through the OP's blog, I am sure going to give this a try. I just hope this idea had come to the OP some few days back before the alts started having some pretty huge ride of their lives, but it is never too late. Great one and thanks a lot for sharing.

And not just XRP but some other top cryptos on the crypto space as well. This has really been interesting for a while now considering how most of them are doing and with what the OP dropped on his blog, I am sure going to join him in this experiment, rather than just sticking with few of these coins alone or doing a huge research before investing in any of these coins.

Thas a good start but i dont believe trading is a luck,you need to learn technical and fundamental analysis to be successful in your investments.

It is a good idea considering the fact that a lot of these coins will end up having some huge increase in percentage and looking at how you started and what you have achieved in 10 days, I am sure going to be doing something like this, just that it would take some really great research to pick the good ones.

Do not forget sometimes to deduce a part of profit in fiat. As long as the uptrend goes, it will be possible to double the profit every ten days.
But if the market turns around you can lose. Good luck!

Haha, this is exactly what I started doing a few days ago, although I put in around $200. Still I am at sitting almost half a K. Good luck mate!

At present due to bull run profits can be easily made worth this altcoins, but once the market falls this coins will fall flat and then the best option would be to exit the market and buy back from lower price. Also 100 cypto coins are way to much to even handle and keep checking. Better to invest in few altcoins which are really good and couple of them in the ICO stage to get the best price for such coins.

Yes recent trend makes lots of alt investors happy even i got good profit by holding my coins some of the coins i never expected to reach 1 cents where i was holding millions now its crossed one cents now i am in good profit . Now alt trend starts crypto currencies are here to stay.

Now everything is growing and it's not difficult to earn, the main thing is then to keep this profit. Interesting choice of altcoins, it will be interesting to watch your project!
