Hi guys,

I have a problem here. I am mining with 4 L3+ miners at home since September. Yesterday the power fell out at home. (Probably due to overloading?) When the power went out, I took out all 4 miners. When the power did it again after 3 o'clock, I plugged in the miners' plugs again.

No miner started up, they looked completely dead. I tried again by putting the plugs in and out. Now 2/4 miners started working. Tried it again, now 3/4 miners started working. The 4th miner still looks completely dead. The PSU is running, however the miner it self looks completely dead, no light, no fan, nothing. I plugged the miner off and let him rest for a night in my room. After I came home today I gave it another shot. Didn't work. I have turned out the neighbor miner, and the broken miner on the other PSU. Of suddenly started mining! The red light turned on. So it isn't completely dead. Happy as I was turned it off and put the neighbor back on. Then that miner didn't start!! And the fist broken miner didn't either!

- both PSU's are working (the fans turn on when I put the power on)
- 2 miners look completely dead, no lights, no fan
- 1st broken miner started working today, but is still broken atm

Would someone please help me?

sounds like miners might have gotten damaged with power outage, if there was a large enough surge before power went out, it could have easily damaged something, only choice is to email bitmain and see what can be done

Have you tried downing all units, then testing each miner with each PSU, and recording the results of each pairing?

I don't know how you are distributing the load, but if you're running more than 2 miners off of the same circuit, that's an awfully large load for the typical residential setup. (Even 2 might be pushing it for 24/7 use.)

if they are pointed at antpool they are having connection issues today

I have done this with the two 'broken' miners. Will try is with the other two functioning miners tomorrow morning. I actually don't dare to touch the other two, everything I touch changes into rubbish haha..

The miners are powered by so called 'three-phase-power. 2 miners per group. I will keep you updated!


Don't think this is the problem. Are pointed to Prohashing. But there is no sign of life at all. The red lights should turn on immediately after powering the device. Doesn't happen :(

Tested them with the PSU from a working L3+ and the miners still work!! However, it seems like the PSU's are broken. There is no output at all, 0 volt. The fan does turn on. I have unscrewed one, but it doesn't look like something is damaged or burnt.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you've got some crap PSU's, replace the PSU's and don't load up more than 3 of them on a single 20 amp circuit and you'll be fine, 4 is pushing it and I wouldn't recommend that on 20 amps

Short version is if you're kicking 1 breaker, you need to move the 4th unit to a different plug that you know is on a different breaker (preferably with nothing else)

Even then you really are not supposed to use 20 amps of a 20 amp breaker.  You should use about 80% to be safe and not melt the line.  So 16 Amp Max per line. 

Yup exactly, I suspect he's running 4 on a single 20 amp
