Poll runs for 20 days.

The problem is that people who're invested in stuff like WDC, DGC and so on will vote for that, but we all really know that they won't be that valuable compared to the rare coins  ;)

prove whose coins are rarer than others that's what everyone is looking for.  Not just bare features either, we should also consider ease of adoption, active developers involved, what edge it carries over other alts, etc.

Of course I have a vested interest in promoting a coin I choose to mine/invest in who wouldn't  ???

Of course, but still we will get some kind of picture (eg. that primecoin is on top of the hype cycle ;, my opinion))

Where is the option "none of the above"?

Namecoin, ppcoin, and primecoin are the ones I think that will last. They're the only ones that really came up with worthwhile innovation. They might not become crazy valuable, but they'll stick around for a long time.

I don't think so, I think CMC is really a good coin, just compare the specs of CMC with other altcoins.

Litecoin already has a large market, XPM is a hoax, CMC seems nice but it's not on the list

This poll is pretty useless, people just vote for their scamcoins because they hold a nice amount of them, not because they believe they actually have a future.

This poll really needs a "none of the above" option and/or an option for "No alternative demonstrating long term viability has been developed yet".  The echo chamber in the altcoin space creates a false sense of popularity.

I would say LTC, but that is about it.

I don't see why primecoin is a hoax ... I think it is more likely to keep it's value, largely because it's main purpose is not really to keep value.  People like it because it happens to make money sure ... but I think it is likely to remain a prevalent coin for a long time based on it's knack for breaking records in mathematics.

I might be biased since I am a math guy, and this is the kind of stuff I research, but at the very least it'll always have network security from the academic sector, in my opinion.

I was surprised that it ran a close second to LTC, though.

From a pragmatic side, Primecoin seems to have Litecoin's original killer features: CPU mining and reasonably fast confirmations. (I imagine CPU mining will probably give way to GPU mining just as with Litecoin eventually.) And Primecoin has a bit of innovation in its choice of hashing function. It isn't just some arbitrary function mistakenly chosen just for GPU resistance.

I follow this site to check how the prices of these coins change. As of late it's been seeming like Novacoin is really excelling, at least beyond my expectations.

10 coins as a choice is a little over optimistic I'd say.

Voted FTC as I can use it to buy beer and food in a real pub amongst other things.

Yeah, I have to say, the way the question is worded my answer is "none".

Instead I voted for the altcoins that I think have a chance at having a real future value. I think that might have been what you meant. Otherwise, I'd have to go back to "none of the above" if it were there.
