Copytrack Vision & Market Overview

Whilst the digital image market is growing exponentially with more than 2 billion images uploaded every day, up to 85% of images online are used without a valid license. Photographers suffer an enormous financial loss and are often unaware that their images are being copied and distributed elsewhere.

On the other end of the spectrum, the image licensing market is controlled by only a few players that keep up to 70% of revenue to themselves. Copytrack is here to change that.

By introducing a distributed database for images, we are moving image copyright registration, licensing and payments to the blockchain. This will reshape how photographers and creators protect, track and monetize their work in the following ways:

1. No more image theft
By registering images directly on the blockchain, all their usage and distribution will be registered. Creators are automatically notified whenever an image is being used.

2. Global copyright database
The open and global database of rights-holders and their work allows users to easily license and track their creative work.

3. Fair & transparent compensation
The CPY token directly connects creators and clients and facilitates transactions via smart contracts. Creatives are in full control of their own pricing and licensing options without any intermediaries, who nowadays take cuts of up to 70%.

Don't work.
Very very hard to find images because if you resize or edit in any way the hash value change. When you save for web all exif data on images are deleted.
The best way to find stolen images is https://images.google.com. They use advanced image recognition trained with AI.
When you find stolen images the problem is to get payment. Most images are used on privat profiles.
But the problem are real. Points for trying.

Official statement on KodakOne

Many of you asked us about the latest news on Kodak's planned ICO. Here's the statement of our CEO, Marcus Schmitt:

“It’s always been our mission to improve the protection of photographers and rightsholders online. It’s been a great recognition to be supported by over 1600 backers who have invested a total of $ 7.6 million USD in our vision to democratize copyright and prevent image theft for photographers – and this was just the pre-sale.

Unlike Copytrack, KodakOne is still in the preparation stage. We can only state 3 key differences and facts between KodakOne’s planned ICO and Copytrack’s Global Copyright Register so far:

  • KodakOne is a brand licensing cooperation between Kodak and Wenn Digital Inc., a Delaware company founded in Nov.2017. Copytrack has a proven track record of several years and has developed its technology fully in-house with enforcement services in 140 countries.
  • KodakOne plans to solely register images on the blockchain while Copytrack’s “Global Copyright Register” is an open blockchain for any type of digital content (images, music, video, etc.).
  • KodakOne’s ICO will be a closed sale that’s only accessible to accredited investors, whereas Copytrack keeps its ICO open to all investors of the blockchain and cryptocurrency community

We can’t comment on KodakOne’s technology as neither their system nor their whitepaper are available yet.

At Copytrack we strongly believe that blockchain and cryptocurrencies set the foundation of the internet’s future. It’s exciting to be part of it and help creators protect, track and monetize their work with the Global Copyright Register. Our main sale ICO still runs until February 10”, concludes Schmitt.

It seems that everything is authentic here. But needs exposure. Even this thread has slow movement. Maybe run a sig campaign at least? Just a suggestion though.  ;)

After 1 month running it seems the project still looks very calm. I think you should do something to make this project look more alive. My question is whether this project also has a bounty campaign?

I would like to answer your question. Maybe project looks calm, but potential benefits for society are huge.

Yes, Copytrack project has a bounty campaign.

Interview with Marcus Schmitt, CEO of Copytrack
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb2aBqeskgU

CopyTrack is going ALL IN on blockchain technology to provide copyright protection and enforcement solutions that supercede anything available today. CopyTrack has established themselves as the market leader in automated copyright enforcement and their current user base spans across 140 countries. By the looks of it, they're positioned to drastically alter the way businesses, artists, publishers, and individuals are able to handle and enforce the digital rights to their content. The Global CopyTrack register will be launched Q2 of 2018 and CPY token holders will be able to stake their tokens, as Proof of Stake will be used for the consensus model of CopyTrack.

I wonder why it's so calm about this project too. They already have an existing business and want to get everything on the blockchain with a real use of their tokens.

The things that make me unsure right now ist the fact, that you can just whitelist with your name and ETH address. No KYC needed. No serious ICO does that anymore.
And why did they advertise with HitBTC, Tdax and a Binance application? Other ICOs say, they aren't allowed to talk about exchanges before token sales end.

Should this be a red flag? I hope someone can explain that before I decide to invest.

This copytrack project I see has a pretty good project program .. To this extent the development is quite fast .. I think the progress of the project fund is quite good and the total coins that have been sold now are willing to reach the target, I think the team is working well and hard .. I see this project team is very professional and I think this project has a very bright prospect for the future .. I think this project will attract many investors and all targets will be achieved .. I hope this project will be successful as expected

Actually the project is good but I couldn’t find detailed information about the team and advisors. Actually I found, it is there but I couldn’t find information about who they are, what they are doing. Furthermore, the addition of the binance is for increasing the interest to the project.

I think that the project will collect the amount that it wants after that binance. But, the binance event doesn’t looks like good. I mean to saying that we have started to interviews hangs in the air. From my side, I think that it has my interest and my confidence. Can it enter to binance or can’t it, I can’t say it. But Binance’s CEO had a topic on this subject. I guess I saw it in a paper on how to enter the binance. As far as I remember, he said something like that “even if there really is a deal with Binance, the leak of this information to someone else's premises can lead to the cancellation of the introduction of the progeny and a very advanced process.”

Absolutely to not saying it is the first rule. After the necessary conditions etc are evaluated, binance is already take or do not take, on its own way. But only making application and then saying that we are discussing and putting it to the website, moreover doing it during the ico process is interesting for me.

Be aware. They deleted me from telegram for citing concerns about Htibtc and saying that imo its bad for the project to list on that exchange. It concerns me that I was deleted from telegram for that. I also put this on Facebook and they mark it as spam. The fact is Hitbtc is shady, so ask why would you promote this?

Project has been finalized after collecting 10 million dollars, the bounty program seems pretty good but when I consider it in parallel to investment purpose, I don’t think it is a good Project. If it increases its value after coming up to the stock, it’s good to get away in short-term..

I think it would be fair to also burn token of founders/advisors and development aliquot to the percentage of burnt tokens that did not get sold.
If not, the Team now owns more than 50% of all approx. 56 million tokens (18,5 Million + 20 Million).

Does anyone know whats going to happen in this regard?

Copytrack is a great project, but the price pf CPY on Idex exchange dropped from 0.0014 to 0.0004 ETH per token. The only site where i found Ico price was https://icodrops.com/copytrack/, it is stated that ico price was 0.00135 ETH. But as i know, this data is not contain pre ICO price, which possible was much lower than ICO. Can someone post here pre ico and ico prices by stages? Where one could find this information?

Did Copytrack team already burned unsold tokens?

Is it working as good as the google-image-backward-search? If yes, then it could be a good competitor to big image-stocks, like fotolia or istock. But I think its very hard to compete.

The goal is a decentrialised image-stock including copyright-register, right?

I`m not sure if I invest in this, seems to me very risik. And I dont like, that the author has bad reputiiton in bitcointalk forum.

Guess I skip this, but good luck, anyway.

Good luck to those who attended to signature campaign. They sent tokens quite fast. Its buy – sell process had already been continuing at the Idex. Probably, holders of a few thousand CPYs had sold them. I respect the holders. It's getting harder to find so fast bounty distributions. If it has its own block chain, it can be up to 6 months.

Any news on big exchanges yet?

We need Copytrack to get listed where there is volume so we can get some traction.

I think this could be a big market cap if they start to get some IP on board.

Copytrack is already listed on

HitBTC: https://hitbtc.com/exchange/CPY-to-ETH and https://hitbtc.com/exchange/CPY-to-BTC

IDEX: https://idex.market/eth/cpy

And team are working on further listings

The project idea is great, but conducting of bounty campaign was horrible. After the ICO, moderators deleted main Ann and Bounty thread, have not closed dubbed local threads, thereby blurring bounty pool for translators.

This is the only living Ann thread, which had not been deleted by Copytrack moderator.( God knows why do they deleted official threads). Nevertheless, the project was mentioned and interviewed in respected german magazine fotoMagazin, in an article dedicated to  blockchain for photographers.

Good News! CEO Marcus is going to make a 60-second video every Thursday answering the most popular questions asked by our lovely community! If you have questions about COPYTRACK project, we can send them to the live chat on  https://copytrack.io
I can say that now there are not so many projects in which we can see the active information support of the community!  ;)

Fresh Updates from Copytrack team:👂

"In February, Copytrack Global Copyright Register’s management team visited our development center in Portugal. We topped up our development team & will double the capacity. Also, our management team visited several strategic partners in Japan.

In the beginning of March, Copytrack Global Copyright Register’s Management and Marketing teams had a long meeting about brand communication. Several branding strategies were discussed and we also received useful advices regarding the launch of Global Copyright Register!

We are currently busy to update our webpage including a blog. The development of the Global Copyright Register is in progress until mid 2018 and will be followed by a Token Swap.
We want to emphasise that CPY is an utility token, which means that the value of CPY is expected to increase as soon as it is used at our platform. Please refer to the Roadmap: https://copytrack.io/#section-roadmap

Also, we confirmed that there will be master nodes for CPY tokens and we expect that will start before May."

So the project definitely is under development, i hope team managers will be back into bitcointalk, as a part of their community and investors are being here.

Interesting to know the dynamics of the cpy blockchain and how expensive it would be to transfer on it.. Ie cheap like stellar/neo or expensive like btc
And also in the future are there any plans to expand to have other companies use the copytrack blockchain
I hope there will be a desktop wallet with staking and easy masternode setup

I think they want to create their own blockchain register, apart from Ethereum network.

They reserves for blockchain development (20%) of their tokens.

"CPY tokens are used for licensing and payments on the Copytrack blockchain. They’re the native tokens of the blockchain, enabling automated payments to rights holders based on licenses they design themselves."

"Development of a blockchain-based copyright system – the Global Copytrack Register – took place throughout 2017."

As I`m a real fun of the  copytrack idea and the platform at all I was pleased to know about the new real stunning recent partnership that was announced in the end of March with the new blockchain start-up that aims to make the first decentralized stock photography platform - the Estonian Stock Provider Photchain!
Photchain actually is concluding it`s ICO and hope it will end with the success.
And as was mentioned in the blog of Copytrack - The Estonian Stock Provider Photchain will be the first Use Case of the Copytrack Blockchain.

project with a very professional team, it is very important for fast and successful development, I am very interested in bounty, hopefully run well

What bounty?) Bounty campaign already closed, a month ago. Do you mean you are waiting for a good price to sell you bounty tokens?

Now that is a good news. But i have never heard about Photochain.io. That is another ICO project, so Copytrack decided to conclude partnership with newly created ICO startup, which is still not yet funded during PreICO.

According to Photochain they are selling tokens with a discount of 30% now.

Would be desirable to hear something about partnership with real existing and profitable e market company.

Their partner Photochain have already sold 41 mln of PHT tokens, that`s not bad. Meanwhile,  Copytrack Global Copyright Register launches their CPY masternode program (requirement 10 000 CPY for hosting a MN ).

"You can basically host multiple CPY MNs with different devices and earn CPY coins every day automatically."

How about the image copyright?/need for more details pls

Something on the topic.

The registration of images on the register will remain free, but we will also offer some external services such as reverse image search or some extended certifications. As long as the Copytrack Enforcement is concerned, we will use CPY as a mean of payment in order to lower the bank transfer fees. In both systems, the Global Copyright Register and the Copytrack Enforcement, you will be able to pay with CPY but also with bank transfer, credit card and Paypal, so you are not forced to use CPY.

Copytrack have recently opened new office in Lisbon, where 4 to 5 developers are sitting full time to develop Global Copyright Register.

Photochain’s Partners. Who are they and why are they important for us?
https://medium.com/photochain/photochains-partners-who-are-they-and-why-are-they-important-for-us-69f0b9b60119

For a business to be a success, they must recognize the strength of other businesses and collaborate towards each common goal. At Photochain, we understand the need for this, and our approach has always included partners.

To give you a better understanding of our partners and why we work with them, we’ve outlined the key rationale behind each partnership.

https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/800/0*6ZwY_zCR15Y-1m7r.

At the core of Copytrack is the creation of a global decentralized copyright register for digital content, which authenticates users and links digital intellectual property. This registry will generate a unique ecosystem for rights-holders, thereby providing new e-client marketplaces. With its cutting edge technology and processes, it is well-suited to globally address the key challenges in the industry and will be open to the public.

In an extremely short time frame, Copytrack has grown to become the leading company in the worldwide market of highly automated copyright enforcement. Starting in Berlin and having a presence in New York and Tokyo has allowed Copytrack to directly engage with artists and their networks all over the world.

This mission correlates to Photochain’s goal to create a decentralized copyright chain for the protection of image rights of photography on the Photochain, new generation photography monetization, platform.

As both companies aim at creating a fair exchange of images, whilst ensuring copyright protection between image providers and users worldwide, it is a perfect fit partnership.

Well as he mentioned Copytrack have more than 8.000 clients that will all be informed and offered to use the GCR.
Additionally, they have some pilot & beta users.

Looks very promising but when exchange? With such low volume as nowadays, CPY token is almost dead(((
And planned future token swapping of the CPY to the one on the Qtum blockchain will not help to list token on exchanges.

Copytrack CPY token will be switched to new coin in ~August (maybe August 10). CPY is an ERC20 token and the new coin is based on the CONCENSUM blockchain, which is QTUM-based. It will be a special tool for the swap of the tokens. Team will e-Mail every investor and also provide a link on their new web-site. You will send the CPY and get the new tokens in return.

If you are not initial investor, i guess nobody will inform you, so read project official channels.
