Title: How should I distribute my 0.65 BTC?
Post by: ellenripley on December 19, 2017, 01:17:19 PM
I already hold ~20k Cardano (ADA) that I bought on 750-1100 Sat. But I'm a bit hesitative as to what to do with my 0.65 BTC. If you had to pick 3 alts to distribute it on, which ones would they be?

I have just purchased some Burst, FTC and LBC.
Burst coin will have important update in the end of this month, while FTC I just buy based on trade view, for LBC, I think this coin is in bottom for a while, so 2018 should be its time to return.

Buy DGB while its still low at 210, it has potential of having a good rise in near future.

Depends on how much risk you are willing to take.

Yeah, DGB is still very cheap. As well as Siacoin. I think they are pretty good as an investment, but still I don't recommend to buy only them. I'd like to invest 30-50% in top-10 coins.

I advice you to not asking other people to tell you where to spend your money...
Go to coinmarketcap, check the top 50 coins and see all that you are interested in. (Volume, price, marketcap, websites, social networks, roadmap, projects...)
Most of the people here will tell you to buy what they jsut bought, and it'll clearly not be a good advice.
Buy what you believe in, not what other people believe in. If all your money crash, you'll regret it your whole life to not have passed 1h of research on the internet.

Take everyone's suggestions on board but make sure you look into each coin you are thinking about properly so you are happy with your choice.  My 3 picks would be

BIS (bismuth) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1896497.0
DGB (Digibyte) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=408268.0
BLOCK  (Blocknet) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=829576.0

Good luck.

Definitely a lot of good coins to invest in but not just because someone said to.  Research them, find a project that seems to have good potential and maybe throw some in there.  Good luck!

That 0.65 BTC already has a big value. It is either you are going to hold it or you will do research on altcoins that are worth investing. Doing research is still better than asking people here. Trust your instincts and make smart moves.

My choice would probably be NEM, DGB and probably Ethereum for altcoins since I don't think you would want to invest in Bitcoin. But if I were you I'd keep those Bitcoins or you might regret one day when Bitcoins price skyrockets and the amount you have would not just be doubled up but more than you expected.

I would not distribute it to altcoins now because most ones are high now, but you can sell it for usdt. oax is cheap now, there are good coins but you should wait, they will decrease soon I hope so  ::)

I'd say pick around 10 alts. This way you will be safer. Diversify for security.

my choice would be bitbay , bitsend , ethereum i always pick not known coins because their price isnt high and its still on development like bitsend the price of it steadily increasing and your lucky if you were able to participate in their airdrop, bitbay have alot of features but the coin is too undervalued but now the price increased alot last week it was 10 cents below.

You can invest in any coin in the top ten coins. Not just there they are. Bitcoin for example. Look at the quotes, read the information on the coins. Analyze the information.

I'd recommend you to buy Ripple or NEM, but the prices are too high, so it would be better to hold and wait for a correction. Also you may find some suggestions in this thread:

Check Neo.

Current price is so good to buy. Pretty good news about the project. In a short time Neo will be 100 dollars or more.

I would go with SunContract (SNC), Monero, (XMR), and Spectrecoin (XSPEC).

I am personally betting heaviest on XSPEC.  Here's why:
It is a fast rising star, with robust privacy and anonymity tech, low circulating supply, and several exciting developments on the near term horizon - and it is starting to show.  Word of this coin has been getting out, thanks to a community-driven grassroots marketing campaign, and it has sharply outperformed Bitcoin for going on a week now.  It is about to break through the $2 level, on its way to $5 and beyond.  As the roadmap gets implemented and word gets out, this coin is likely to move up through the ranks very quickly.

You have a good position out there by choosing ADA, but regarding another pick, i can suggest you to look for PINCOIN ICO.
They have a great platform with unlimited opportunities

You see it here: https://pincoin.io/

20k Cardano is similar value to 0.65 BTC at the moment, so you have 50% BTC and 50% alts - that sounds like a good enough balance, so I would keep it in BTC.

I'm a HUGE fan of SPECTRECOIN.  I've been obvious about that I believe.  I can shill you all day on it but I'd suggest checking out the slack and asking questions there.  The mods are still active and the community is really snug.  They are working together to pick up in the marketing areas that our piss poor ICO didn't fund.  The community has pretty much funded everything and that sticks with our grassroots and liberty based ideals.  The community and Devs so strongly believe that it can be the next form of "cash" remittance that all the money we had went into our Cryptographers.  This has left us largely anonymous in the crypto communities though.  We realized that if we wanted people to know about the coin we'd literally be responsible for telling them.  So we have been for the past couple of weeks and the community has responded well raising the price on the market significantly.  We aren't stopping now though.  You can expect it to continue climbing.

Here's the wiki if you're interested. http://coinwiki.info/en/SpectreCoin

If I were you I will put those 0.65 bitcoin in more than 3 coins.

Will keep bitcoin : 0.15 BTC
ETH : invest 0.20 BTC
ETC : invest 0.10BTC
XVG : Invest 0.05 BTC
CSNO : invest 0.10 BTC

Exchange remaining 0.05BTC to fiat so that I can buy some cheaper coins when there will be dump in market.

You need to be diverse if really want to earn a massive using the require bitcoin mention and I think it will be better if you invest altcoin like KMD,OmiseGO, NEM and Graft Network promising iCO which you'll have 10% discount if you invest in the first 48hrs.

It is all speculation, the value is in how much data there is to support the speculation. IMO for what it is worth ETH is more stable than BTC, in fact there is a fairly good chance BCH is going to come really close to BTC within the next year or two. I also anticipate ETH coming close if not overtaking BCT at some point in the next 5 years. If you don't know why read about the differences between BTC and ETH and read about the promising startups using Ethereum blockchain. Based on that I also anticipate ETN doing very well.

Those are probably your least risky options atm. ETH, ETNand BCH. But due to the fact that they are already high they may not be the most profitable. I anticipate KIN and RDD doing really well, if either are picked up and used by any mainstream networks the price should spike and climb steadily.  These two IMO are better options as they are still low so you can buy in at a greater extent meaning a higher ROI if it goes big. KIN is owned by KIK and has huge potential if leveraged correctly.
SIA looks promising too but there is some competition which may be doing a better job at fixing issues so SIA could go either way. My bet is on it being at least a short term good investment.

I will not give you actual advice on how to distribute it among these, I don't give financial advice. But these are what I am investing in and have done research on and believe in.

EDIT: I mistyped. I said ENT I meant ETN (Electroneum)

In your place, I would stick with the BTC and hold my crypto the way it is. BTC will rise for sure and that is going to happen very soon. If you are willing to do trades for different coins you must follow your instinct and knowledge. All the forum users are giving the advice about the coins they think will rise but no one has the real clue what will really happen in the crypto world the next day. Everyone follows his own instinct and you should too. Do a little research, watch the market scales on daily basis and finally commit yourself to the analyzation of the market. If you want to distribute your BTC, distribute it properly among different coins. I would personally go for IOTA and RIPPLE. The final decision lies with you.

You should keep some of it as bitcoin in my opinion. For the rest of your money you can split and invest in some different coins. For example you can get sonm or ripple or waves. These there will get your money multiplied almost for sure.

If I were you I would hold my bitcoin until it reaches $20000 again. Now it’s too cheap to sell. You can’t make good profit if you distribute it now.

you can double your bitcoin profit by buying some good altcoins and have good potential. so you are not worried about your 0.65 btc and will also return to your highest profit.
