Title: Appear to have lost all of my funds after recovering my Blockchain wallet Post by: Jsmith12 on December 19, 2017, 05:35:49 PM Hello ,
( I apologise if this isn't the right place to post this ) For the past six months I have been logging onto my Blockchain wallet through Touch ID without any problems . However recently my iPhone crashed/restarted and the Blockchain app asked me for my password which I was unable to find / remember . But I had written down my 12 seed string . After going through the recovery phase (although I didn't verify email?) I was directed to what appeared a new wallet ? Which had a new wallet ID and had a completely empty balance . It appeared as though all my funds had disappeared .This "new" wallet (or maybe wallet ID) with an empty account seems to match my 12 string code? which is what I most worried about . Am I doing something wrong or is there a solution to this ? Would really appreciate any response Thanks Title: Re: Appear to have lost all of my funds after recovering my Blockchain wallet Post by: OmegaStarScream on December 19, 2017, 05:57:51 PM When the wallet was first created? If It was after their HD update (I believe February 2016) then I suggest trying to recover the wallet through Electrum, just make sure to go to options and check (https://i2.wp.com/josephyap.me/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/3.png?resize=602%2C432&ssl=1)"BIP39 seed".

The wallet was indeed created after Feb 2016 . I'm sorry but I'm not very good with all this technology ! How exactly would I go about recovering the wallet through electrum ?, I don't really understand as to why my funds would be in there however I'm sure you know more than me ! Sorry if I'm asking silly questions Appreciate your help Title: Re: Appear to have lost all of my funds after recovering my Blockchain wallet Post by: OmegaStarScream on December 21, 2017, 12:24:55 PM It's easy. Install the wallet, launch it and choose a name for it. Standard wallet > I already have a seed > type it, choose options and check 'BIP39 seed' and then choose a password and your wallet should be restored. Different wallets uses the same standard for generating private keys and that's why the same seed is compatible with multiple software.
