How altcoins will perform in 2018? 2017was the year of Bitcoin amd do you think any altcoin will be able to perform in such way in 2018?

It will definetely be the year of altcoins, bitcoin needs some consolidation so if it is gonna be the year of something it would be altcoins

Why are you so sure? I think that Bitcoin will shine again over all alts, because a lot of fiat investors will join in trading.
But also the whole market cap will grow a lot in 2018 and will see at over a 1000B level.

do you know that next year is year of dog in chinese, so i guess some doge will take advantages of it and really go to the moon. JK JK but yeah that will likely going to happend if we see the increasing price of doge in last week. another alt will have same option, and it always go up.

In the 4Q of 2018 many country learn about altcoins and thd space of ico become widespread...i think that 2018 will be the best

I think 2018 will be THE year for all cryptocurrencys!

I think altcoin will increase. because the bitcoin will go down. but did not rule out the bitcoin will go up. the predicted increase in bitcoin will occur in the year 2018. and according to predictions the increase will be high and affect altcoin.

By 2017 many altkoins have good prices.
So, I think that entering the year 2018 will also be a lot of good prices and with high value.
Let's look forward to entering 2018 with excitement.

With this current crash we are having there will be a great opportunity to buy alt coins soon. People will return to alt coins when bitcoin's glorious run ends. Which already ended. So we should be ready to see alt coins rise in the up coming year. It will be a good year for alt coins.

Im positive on the growth of good alts during the upcoming year. Alts without useful purpose will show us their true value as I hope people will understand why this or that strong alt coin do have such a strong product and will invest in it. Anyway, there will be "lambos", "100000% to the moon"(without product of course) type of things, but investors have to be more selective and I think they will.

I honestly can't wait for this moment!

why do you think the year 2017 was bitcoin year? more than 100 alts growed more than bitcoin this year.

Everyone considers bitcoin to be the main coin because it made a very steep rise, in terms of price and not interest.

I guess 2018 will be the definition year for altcoins. Many of them will probably disappear due to scams or low community support, but I'm sure that there will be brilliant projects which will shine much more. 2018 will be the year when the blockchain technology and fin-tech projects will finally get to the real life for sure ;)

I guess some new algo altcoin will bump in 2018,,,, there are so many Scrypt, X11 altcoins available, nothing new~~~

I think Altcoin will rising in 2018, but I think the price of Bitcoin is higher than the Altcoins. It is just my opinion and you also have opinion about it :)

I believe that it gotta be much less number of ICO but they'll be much more professional and successful. Little number of altcoins would get stability and growth, most of others will go down slowly.

Hoping that it will be a year of altcoins, many promising ICO will end on the first quarter of year 2018 and I'm positive that there will be great projects that soon to come. I'm actually excited for year 2018! 

Altcoin will comes up and better than 2018, never lost faith with altcoin. Even it is just alternative but altcoin has future and many people try their knowledge and trust with altcoin market every day with big fund. Altcoin market will grow up more faster than ever and create many opportunity make money on line. Start invest/ trade on February with martiangle strategy, I choose that and will enjoy the journey.

I honestly believe it too, that Altcoins will skyrocket this year round. Some altcoins have started there ascension to the moon and it will be exciting to see what will happen with Bitcoin in all this. Will it or can it be replaced too?

I am very sure that in 2018 many altcoins will gain huge %ages for its holders. Some of the top altcoins like ETH, LTC, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, and XRP will be huge this year. The way investors are taking those cryptos will really impact their rates very well. Ripple will be huge this year because it has already crossed 300% within 1 month. and it can go way higher than that in 2018.
on the other hand, the Bitcoin will continue performing better without any doubts. The expected gain for its holders in 2018 will be more than 30% or even more than that.
So if you are into investing thing then you should invest in the top altcoins for huge profits.

I am giving some altcoins that can perform well in 2018, I will go for Ether becaue Ethereum is an open software platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications.And now a days you can see many many ICO coming with Ethereum platform.And the other coins I will also  prefer Ripple (XRP), Stellar Lumens (XLM), NEO.This all altcoins can perform well in 2018 as bitcoin performed in 2017.

In my opinion, bitcoin will still be king, in 2017 many times the increase but I hope Altcoin 2018 has a standard value, because I save some altcoin which is very cheap.

Bitcoin will grow as all altcoins. Of course bitcoin will be number 1 in the price all the way - cause it is basic. But we don't need to watch on the price, cause for bitcoin to grow x2-3 time is more difficult than to the altcoins which can grow from 1$ to 10$ very easily - but it is x10 time and gives you more profit). So keep BTC as the base, but earn profits and more BTC from trading with altcoins..

there are many potential candidates but Ripple, IOTA and Ether will be rocket high.

2018 is the year of altcoins i think there will be many change till the first of januarry i really dont mind the price of the bitcoin now. i think sys, waves, wings shift and deeponion will go to moon in the new year. I am joining the airdrop of the deeponion also. I definately recommend it the profit in the month with airdrop nearly more than double. these are my invest. i just want to share with you let wait the next year and see what will go on :)

An alt pump is due now for almost 6 months and I think bitcoin also needs to cool down for it to grow organically. The correction we are seeing now is the best imo for bitcoin, also alts may take the high road from here.

Doesnt matter if btc going down atm. In 2018 btc will rise. Second option is iota and third but very sure is ada

Bitcoin is going to be king till all the crypto currencies would be gone. It's a base of whole crypto world and all the altcoins in fact are based on btc.

It's hard to guess and predict. But we can discuss. I think that next year investments will become smarter. I would like people to stop buying shitkoins and speculative coins, but began to invest wisely. I would like ICO projects without a real-life model to be a failure. I personally invest and trade only with top coins.

2018 is surely the beginning of beginnings for altcoins. Presently less than 2% of the world population know about cryptocurrency. With the present massive awareness and Bitcoin now being seen as an asset (no more a bubble), altcoins will surely thrive. The coinmarketcap attests to this fact.

I think IOTA, Cardano and EOS will be big next year

Alternative coins are coin coins that appear after the presence of bitcoin ,,
true, all lean on bitcoin.

We just don't know since digital currencies are hard to predict as to when it can attract more investors that would drastically change its market cap and affect its market price. Hopefully by next year, a strong altcoin will stand (it might be ETH, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, IOTA) even if bitcoin's price will continue to rise in the market. Or maybe, an altcoin that's not even in the top 20 will make its run and make it well known in the cryptoworld.

Bitcoin still dominates the highest value ,, For Altcoin may some will dominate the market.It means little there will be price increases.

Altcoins will rise in 2018.  There will be a number of coins that will go up several times in value.  Coins like ETH and LTC will continue to rise.  It should be a great year.

According to me Altcoin coin will be a too high in 2018 this time Altcoin value is very demandable and in 2018 it will be a very valuable.

Udecker, you're totally on point. You hit the nail on the head. 2018 is surely going to be huge for altcoins. While we shouldn't forget to factor in corrections and surprises, holders of alts are going to be happy for it.

As of 2017, 2018 will also be the year of Bitcoin, but there are also othe coins that are performing very well, eg ETHEREUM,Dash coin etc.

Altcoins are not bleeding now. You should check their price with satoshi.
Prices for other currencies seem to be low in dollar terms as bitcoin prices have fallen :)

Altcoins are already dominating the market and this trend will only increase in 2018. We are heading toward a more mature marketplace.

Yes i believe that there are some altcoins that are going to do very well in this year 2018 just like the it happen to Bitcoin and ethereum in 2017.  But all these are mere speculation of which no one know which particularly coin that will take the lead.
