I’m so impressed with the availability  of alternative currencies .How do someone pick up the right currency .

As many as you like. There's no limitations regarding into investments and getting more alternative incomes. It's up to you whether you want to invest 2 coins or a dozen or a hundred as long as your money can accommodate more currencies.

In my part, I invested time on joining signature bounty campaigns because I cannot afford investing in ICOs so the coins I received will be my investment and the day will come if coins will be then expensive then I could turn them all into money.

I think that most promising alt coin right now is RIPPLE. The future of her seems very promising to me due to real life project assosicated with lots of BANKS, you can easily see the Banks which are interested in RIPPLE. I would not say, it is going to be like x10, no one tells you that. But it may be , perhaps even more. if you examine the Project, you will face low transection fees, and also it is really fast at transection.

Decision is yours, but I were you , I will definetly consider to buy some RIPPLE. 2018-2019 will be her.

There are literally over 1 thousand of alternatives that you can invest in (see in coinmarket cap) and I believe lots of investor just follow what people talk about it.
If you want to be professional in investing, you do very carefully research about the coin you are about to put money on. The tech, the team behind, does they follow the road map, how many coin total supply...and have general idea about block chain tech.
And believe me, sometime you need luck to pick the right one.

Today there are 1369 altcoin listed in coinmarketcap.com. At least 80% of them are trash/scam...

In order to pick a good one you should take some time and study the coin before investing any money in it.

This is my recomendation, eth, ltc, etc, minexcoin, dash, xmr, and waves. They are all good coins to invest. if you are looking for tokens you can buy PAY, OMG, QTUM and some tokens  that the project is alive.

Take the time to study everything about the possible candidates, don't invest based on anyone's advice.

If you have amount money and you want to invest. You must learn about characteristics of many coins if you want to get many profits :)

After you research the coins you find interesting, then you need to decide which one to invest in, but know that you have no limitations, you can invest in anyone and as many as you like, but make sure you are investing in altcoins that will give you some profit. Try and stay with the coins that are in top20 list. The other altcoins are more volatile and usually have no profit or gain.

Investing into Cryptocurrency isn't different from the ancient way on choosing a good business. You'll be dealing with some efforts and studies  in order to decide which one is the most profitable.
Crypto-Currency isn't different, so choosing the right cryptocurrency isn't eadybbut if you're lucky then you'll get good bounty and fortune in the near future.

You can chose Wings, Waves, Ethereum, Litecoin, Cardano, Nem.
From new ones I like Sumo coin - hope it can hype!

Indeed, investing Cryptocurrency will require bigger amount of money because the more you invest the more you get profits in return. But if you're unlucky then your investment will turn into nothing if you don't spend time on effort for research and choosing wisely because now we already have almost two thousand Cryptocurrencies circulated in the market today.

You should be able to understand projects, whether they have potential or just want your money through useless tokens. Even if you are pro investor, you should have some luck as well

I think he's just trying to get more information and solid advice where to start because not all of us knew what we're supposed to do. The more we ask questions the more we know something abd that's the most important thing when it comes to Cryptocurrency and other stuff like investing and trading.

Understanding the projects and their relevance to the Crypto-Currency market isn't enough. I prefer letting the new currency prove that their coin is worth for my investment by observing the price history like what we see in the cryptocurrency market cap sites.
For me, it's better to invest a hundred coins that could may turn into thousands of dollars than a thousands of coins that didn't increase the price after a long time.

To get profit from a trading or investment here at the crypto market you must be able to make research about any project you invest in and be patient. Otherwise you will lose your money. BTW you can own as many cryptos as you want.

You can try to see the majority of the tokens that based on what. Understand about the business plan and the advantage by hold the token. if the developers are offering interesting business plan and it may become a right currency for you. As you can see about how the people are choosing the right ico or currency to gain more than 2x just in short time.

pick the ones that has a product and a big company running it for example omisge or omg they are running solid for 3 yrs now and they have customers usinv their platform

It seems to me that in a few years these 80% trash / scram of altcoins will die. The future is for coins with technology. ;) But now every day there are many new ICO. So ,the amount of altcoins will only grow, so only careful analysis will help to select altcoin with great prospects. 8)

I would only trust the top 20 to get some good results. The rest aren't as trustworthy and are volatile.
You need to look into altcoins before investing, each one has it's own pattern so caution must be taken.

This is bad strategy,  to look for top 20 lol? There are some other coins that can get you a lot of gains. O am looking at charts all day and I can tell you that some coins that are like in 100s place get pumped like 50%+ it's hard to time market but anything is possible.  For long term I think bitcoin, bitcoin cash,  ethereum,  XMR, iota,  zcash, litecoin,  dash and maybe some other from "top 20"

I think BTC, BCH, ETH and LITECOIN can still be counted on to be one good coin. the coin analysis can be seen from the monthly sales charts of the previous month until now and it could prove if some of the top 20 are the coins

based on statistics, there are more than a thousand altcoins circulating right now. but based on the airdrop, and bounty campaigns I joined, almost 70% never got to exchanges and circulated properly. Mostly are shitcoins which scammers cease and become useless.

Like ton of it, just pick some from coinmarketcap top 100. or if you ask me personally i would recomennded TRX and XRP, ofcourse ETH is an option too. Investing to an ICO is not bad choice at all if you pick the right one

If you have a lot of money to invest, I would heartily recommend Ethereum because it is a sure profit. However, if you do not have so much money, I would look around for something cheaper but still strong ... Maybe Waves?

Indeed, the amount of altcoins will grow as long as this enthusiasm bubble keeps inflating. Then, only the good ones will endure. Everyday there is a handful of new so called  "coins". In fact, the vast majority of these are just scams professionally created to to lure the uneducated investor.

I would stay away from all of these new super hype projects and prefer to invest in long standing projects with a clear view for the future and viable tech specs.

You first need to decide that your investment is long term or short term and then pick you coin according to that,if yiur investment is short then pick a coin with high volatility rate.If the investment is long term then pick coin with stable price,but I think long term investing on cryotocurrency is better option and less risks.

You can talk on this topic for a very long time. The meaning of this is not small. I agree with most of the opinions in this topic that it is not safe, but it is not worth putting a cross on it. I will be brief and give just one piece of advice, start any project with the bounty company. Why? You will have enough time to make the only correct investment decision. To make sure my advice, you could consider a SwissBorg project (CHSB) to participate in a bounty program. The program has just started and the most interesting is yet to come.

In my opinion, first, you should have luck to choose the right currencies to invest. Secondly, I think it is better to follow the price situations own your own. And after that, you should make your decisions just on your own.
