Title: making rigs with bitfury chips ?
Post by: newcoins123 on December 20, 2017, 09:20:39 AM
hey  thinking about ordering 16nm asic chips from Bit fury's shop, they have lots of 1000 chips listed..

is the bit fury shop legit? I am super interested in getting 3000-10,000 of these chips to start mining most probably toward the higher end or more if its actually possible.

i would have to build the miners my self going this route but would get significantly more bang for my buck..

really wanting to jump into mining by buying chips and this seems like one of the most available chips as others are for large buyers. / 1mil min buys.

either the Bitfury chips/ their B8 unit, or the Avalon A8's 60x of them are what im looking at starting with.. am new to mining but seems like right now if I can get my hands on good hard ware (16nm) it will be well worth it.

Sounds like pretty heavy stuff. I world be very interested to follow this journey.(personally I've been cooking up ASIC ideas, though I'm far from the PhD EE I'd Need to be to actually build one, lol).

DON'T BUY! It's a scam!

Registered in Russia. Does anything good come from Russia? ;)

But for real, I spoke to BitFury. They only sell directly, and their minimum order is $2m.

Be careful bro!

Good luck

No. Only way I know of to get the Bitfury chips are directly from Bitmain, every other source is pretty much a scam except for a few companies which have made small amounts of Bitmain miners (see Hotmine). I hope you are aware of how incredibly difficult it is to design a miner and how much time it'll take. Even with advanced knowledge of ASICS and miners in general making miners by yourself is an extremely difficult task.

Vodka?

I would say stay away bitfury do not sell chips to the public. You will not receive your chips.

Contact bitfury direct http://bitfury.com/

They will confirm that shop is a fake.

Yep bitfury only offers cips at 8$ all the way to 2m or 50gh/s contracts at 7500.00 (still need 2 million to fufill this) anything else relevant is probably a scam
