- Look at your portfolio list (your coins for hold and trading purposes)

- Take note of their daily volume (this will take time to understand. build experience and this will be quiet easy for you)

- Try to look at their ANN thread (if they have)

If you are really eager to learn, you can automatically adopt new ideas on how to deal with trading. Experience will build you. Just take time and be serious.

my first strategies in crypto research about the coin read the social media and ann threads in bitcointalk after i get a good news i will invest for that but u need to analyze the candles stick to know when u entering the market to avoid a mistake.. Give a time for reasearch and analyze to ur investment do not believe in others, believe it your self.

If you mistake do not lose hope because u can handle ur mistake just patient and do not panic...

I like to use TradingView for charting. If you go to a chart for Bitcoin you will get a news feed widget on the page that usually has all the relevant stories that might affect the markets. There's also a watchlist widget so you can add all the cryptos you want to follow.

you can find all crypto related news in merkle site or in coindesk. These both are long time surving sites in the bitcoin market and best choice for the crypto community members.
Other than these site ci use to gather crypto currencies updates in one telegram channel. There I use to get the upcoming ICO information to financial adoption from the various countries. It makes update of that.

You find your way to the forum, then your problem is half solved and this part of the forum is a place fill with right amount of information for your perusal compared to externals because here you get it directly from people who are expressing their opinions compared to sites that the article will need to be edited and painted in a way the sponsor of such information wants it and to make it sweetening in the eyes and hears of the readers. What you need to do, is take a back seat, relax, locate a thread and read till you are satisfied.

I personally prefer news-based trading than doing technical analysis on charts. The sources that I like most are:

Remember: Always verify what you're reading on whatever site if the information is right or wrong, no matter how trusted a certain website is. Some information can be factual but over-exaggerated.

I usually follow alts in twitter to get big news and to buy their coin and also some signals online to get the best out of those news and i sometimes use reddit.

I now read the news just for fun, doesn't affect my trading at all, or any longer, since the news tends to have already been priced in by the time they hit mainstream. Reservations on the tendency to be biased towards PR news aside, I still find Bitcoin.com, Merkle and a couple of other traditionally known crypto places still good for info, but actually, with BBC, Bloomberg, FT and others having better networks, headline feeds from there can filter out the noise and bring just the best of the latest.

Press section in this forum isn't too bad, a bit of fun mixed with a bit of business.

There are some good reads on some sites like Hacker Noon, finance magnates, wired, but they tend to be analytical rather than newsworthy, with tid bits slipped in, and a bit of good natured banter.

I'd say the serious trader only needs to follow the projects/coins on their portfolio on Twitter. Probably the quickest way to hear of things devs feel are important enough to update.

I don't trade alone, i'm with my team and they gonna notificate me the newest news in my trading group immediately atm they releases.

why u need a team?? Team for pumping group.. Did u not believe yourself how to predict the price of crypto cause u are believing the others than yourself.. If u noy have a group u didnt have a profit also i think cause u are waiting the signal into ur leader whats the price is pumping... Actually the group chat or team this is basic moves being a whale...

There are many different channels on Youtube dedicated to crypto-currencies, sometimes such things are published on the trader's channels along with information about current stocks and futures. In addition, there are special channels in the Telegram. I recommend also to have a working account on Twitter and subscribe to all the leading crypto-currencies and tokens with the largest capitalizations. In addition, read the news of the world economy, many of which can significantly affect the growth of some coins. Also watch Reddit, sometimes there are excellent insights published.

One of the reasons why people prefer to join a group is no need to bother to read chart, and those who join the group believe in a definite profit compared by doing it self.

Read a blog or media about cryptocurrency and keep monitoring the social media account of the coin.

Well I am getting the latest news about BTC, altcoins and trading in general from this forum bitcointalk mainly, but also from Twitter, because there are the latest updates and news from the most famous accounts and I get the news in its time usually in Twitter.

I have a twitter account and there i follow almost all the accounts from the Altcoins that i have invested so far, it is a very nice desicion becuase you are going to get there the most giant updates and the recent news, by this way you can decide in which one you should put more funds to make more profit.

To remain updated FORUM is the best source. Apart from that you can follow some of the recoganised name and exchanges twitter handles. You can also download crypto-related news app which will notify you every new news?happening in crypto-world. Telegram groups and channels are also a good source of knowledge. Try to make a real people group apart from digital group to discuss and remain updated.

It is very important that you have a datus about your investment because if we rely on our capital for you to join the hyip case, your source income is just the legit way.

I get the latest news from the internet, facebook and Twitter account. Thru any social media i am more updated with the latest news and updates.

Follow the social media handles of whatever portfolio you are holding and monitor their ANN threads too here on bitcointalk. You could also subscribe for their newsletter to help you keep abreast with the latest trends. Cointelegraph and coindesk are also good sites to help keep abreast with the latest news in the cryptospace.

I get latest news because i always take time to read announcements in some threads in bitcoin forum.

I often follow celebrities in the field of crypto on twitter, facebook, discord, slack ... I often find very early information from these communities. That information helped me a lot in the trade and I enjoyed it. With the altcoin you are investing in, you need to keep a close watch on its community pages for the most timely changes.

Follow news.bitcoin.com. Study aboutyour coin everyday. Make two groups, one for hodl currency and the other for tradable coins. And make notes on that everyday. Study well. Trade wisely

Hey - I had this same problem, couldn't figure out how to follow the latest in the little free time I have, so I created CoinJaw.com (https://coinjaw.com) to aggregate subreddits and twitter feeds for me by specific coins. Super easy to stay on top of things now. I agree with the post above about how the mainstream news sources seem to be a step behind, so I largely ignore those in favor of reddit and twitter. currently my favorite strategy is buy low sell high and it works like a charm all the time, not only on me but also from most of the traders and also investors. you need to be more online and active here on the forum to avoid getting late or left behind about the latest news and happenings and also to be able to learn more strategies from different people around the globe. you can also read outside the forum to be able to maximize your potential knowledge and to broaden your trading skills. gudluck...

Some noobs here are so eager to earn money without any idea what's going on here and asking non sense questions.
For you to get updated follow the news via facebook, twitter and telegram. Read the news in cointelegraph and reddit as these two is the most credible sites for me and it never fail me to get what's new.

Yes social media is the best place to know about the latest news, you can also find latest news on google. You need to give good time for getting news about bitcoin an d other crypto currencies. Even this forum is the best place for getting the latest news. I myself giving good time to bitcointalk.org forum for getting latest news whcih really help me in taking a good decision. It really help me in making profit from trading and investment. I also get some expert opinion in my are who have spent a lot of time in trading crypto currencies.

Social media still plays a huge role on the price variations of crypto coins, so it's very important to try to stay updated. I think twitter channels are probably the best option, since they spread so fast, and you can get the latest news much faster then any other media source. For instance I read Charlie Lee's announcement, on selling his Litecoins on twitter, and only a few hours after that, I started seeing it on the forum, or "crypto newspapers" like cointelegraph. So my advice is for you to follow every known "crypto celebrity" or developer on twitter. Listening to youtube channels, or reading "crypto newspapers"  is also nice, since you can get a good resume of what is happening, and then you can dig dipper if you want.

Many way to get the latest news. First, you can read their white paper. Second you can join on their social media like their facebook fanpage, follow their twitter and join the chat on their telegram gruop. Third you can add your email to get their newspaper. Fourth you can read on their ANN thread.
 Im sure they must give the latest news from social media and other media. now your job is often online and often see news from their social media so you do not miss the news.

Just read the latest post here and check the latest in tweeter.  Some of the latest updates about cryptocurrency usually are from tweeter. I always read some issues and comments in tweeter and helps me to determine the status of bitcoin and alts.

Well if on it I just take advantage of social media that is facebook. Usually I use various facebook groups about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency where people discuss and share information about the new Altcoin that can bring a lot of profit. I also work on this forum to post on various sub-forums and answer various people's questions. So I can also get information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency through this forum. But I prefer to read information and news via facebook because the language is the local language in my country, and more familiar there. Here looks very complicated and difficult to understand because it uses English and in the form of a forum page.

I personally follow their community channels for updated news, as well as stick to their road map, price will go high at the time of releasing something or a new announcement...

You should use the power of internet as a tool for your research and monitoring. Do the constant research so that you would always aware of the news and do always the monitoring specially the market and trading sites price value trend for you to decide which coin is a promising investment. If you do this i assure you that you will become an expert traders someday because you are always updated of the digital currencies event.

I do not follow them, because the sense of them is zero.
All important events are published late, when the price of the coin has already run down.
And then they will describe it in advance, in most cases it does not work out in time.

twitter is class when it comes to news. You will need to put in a bit of time into good working filter though. But in regards to speed / realtime news using twitter is not a bad choice. as mentioned before you can follow the alt coins and some market experts on twitter.

I would agree with you, Twitter is really good place to get news real quick. Few accounts I follow updates 2-6 times per hour. But I also bookmarked few famous websites, I also follow Reddit. Also I know some peoples, I call them Guru's, those person taught me many thing and gives genuine news, I get confirmation from them generally.

I use the internet to get the latest news, specifically from this forum. And as for my strategy, I always tend to rely on my real life trading experience and connect it to online trading because I believe they are both related. Trust me, you will manage to come up with your own strategy when you fail many times.

Trading is not easy at all. I lost much money in real life as well as on the internet because I was not patient at all. That is why patience is required when you want to get into the trading world.

Generally I pick up most news just from this forum, anything major is talked about and you can get a sense of things here. If something major is happening with the prices I check crypto news sites to find out what's going on.

There are many in the internet , but I can share some websites to you where I can get news. Like coinmarketcal.com and cryptotown.io also try coindesk. These websites may help you to get some latest news about cryptocurrency or other altcoins.

Telegram is the best source of that, they are always spreading some information about a few coins and that is perfect. Reddit is a good source too, but the people from there is not 100% friendly and it makes it a little bit harder than usual.

There's a lot of way to learn cryptos the social media is one another is here in forum even news are sometimes making cryptos popular all uou have to do is browse on google even in gambling site they give information about bitcoin and cryptos. ICOs and gambling uses facebook, telegram and twitter campaign its just a matter of exerting an effort to read and be resourceful because all we need is already there

As a matter of fact almost all of my time were focusing here in forum as I am gaining much knowledge about crptpocurrency, but still not just relying here  I am also getting news at different  bitcoin sites to get daily breaking news and to update price and what happening in some  countries, I also used to pay attention reading at our local news.

I usually use:
-  google: you type “Bitcoin” and then you select the “news” section and in “tools”, the “last 24 hour” section. I use it in order to see what is said in international newspapers about BTC, but not to get “fresh fish”
- Coinbase (to see whats going on with prices and stuff)
- Coindesk (you will find there tons of articles about crypto, it is a specialized page)
- Coinmarketcap (all the crypto and their prices are shown in there)
- Twitter (no need to explain) :P

And of course, one of the best ways to be always updated is this forum, you can go to Bitcoin>Bitcoin Discussion> Press. There is always tons of new information about whats going on with crypto and also about whats going on with papers, governments, &CO.

Trading in a team does not necessarily mean being in a pump and dump group, you could pool your money with other investors, and each one receive responsibilities according to their skills, those that are better at technical analysis are the ones that trade, other members could check the news in different sites and give information about that to those that are trading, and if you cannot do anything of those two things you could at least cook and bring coffee ;D.

Watching television is efforless and its good but to keep up to date and time you can suscribe to the contelegraph, coindesk and any other crypto related that is always a good source of news from what going on in the crypto. There are also apps for this to keep updated you only need to find the best source for your own.

I get my news  from newsbtc and cointelegraph for crptocurrency updates. Also I am always checking my twitter account for more fresh  updates and projects. we first have to decide which coins we will take and try to examine them in detail including on the site, whitepaper, and also the announcement tread on the forum and more importantly their volume in the market as well as the road map should also be considered. .

all the individual coins i like or am curious about i sub to on reddit and twitter, along with the main subs for generals. there's really just a ridiculous wall of noise to sort thru, though

I signed up on twitter to follow all dev groups I am holding coins from. I rarely check reddit due to the toxic behaviour of most members. And some youtube channels. But mostly the newsfeed on twitter gives me all the information I need.

Bitcointalk is one of the best place where you can get about all the news regarding crypto currencies but you have to search on the particular sections based on your requirements.But twitter and reddit are also other place where you can get updates about cryotocurrency.

The latest news is important in the market but more important is that what are the rumours which are building after that news have occurred because these rumours in the market are spread by the investors for good or bad intentions and they definitely affect the market.

Therefore, I stay on this forum for the rumours and discussions among the people so that I can make the decision about my bitcoins as well as altcoins.

That's true mate, actually that os what I do everytime I want to check whats the big announcement pf what is the updates the news. If you really want to be updated you need to check all of their ann thread and social media.

Most of the developmental teams of the crypto coins are running official accounts on different social apps and websites for the marketing and publicity of the coin. That is really a big source of news about the coins you are interested in. the news channels or the media is not yet talking much about crypto currencies, so you cannot get to know about the latest market events by sitting on couch watching a TV.
