I currently only have a small rig going with 1 x 7950 on an old motherboard with 2gb DDR2 RAM. I was wondering if I wanted to add another card will I run into memory problems? I mostly mine Scrypt coins which I read are more memory intensive. Is there a way to measure actual RAM usage by the card? I have rigs with five 7950s and 8 GB DDR3 but they only use about 2 GB total. So really I dunno. But ram is so cheap these days I wouldnt worry about it. If you end up needing more just go buy some. Its cheap.
Title: Re: RAM concern Post by: GSnak on July 25, 2013, 12:21:18 AM You shouldn't have issue running another 7950. Running 3x 7950 and XMP miner is using 1.45GB RAM.
