Title: Why no one create a fork from Bitcoin? Post by: jlong187 on July 24, 2013, 09:44:25 PM I saw many new coins created, most are forks of litecoin or PPcoin/Novaoin. Why no Bitcoin forks?

Since most of the new altcoins are trying to avoid exposure to the ASICs being built for bitcoin they are choosing to fork new scrypt based coins off from litecoin instead of from bitcoin.
