Title: Bitcoin will not reduce unemployment
Post by: kyra12 on December 20, 2017, 04:01:41 PM
There are those that believe that Bitcoin will reduce unemployment. Are we talking world wide or a specific country.
Here in South Africa we have a huge population which are unemployed but do not have access to a computer or even knows how to use one.
Look at it from the other side of the coin, should Bitcoin be used as a means of daily payments for purchases then we will find that the banks branches in villages and outlying areas will disappear.
We have seen with the introduction  ATM's that the tellers in the banks have reduced drastically.

Do you have a reference to where people are talking about how Bitcoin will reduce unemployment?

Why would it reduce unemployment? is there any technology that has had any long term effect on employment? It seems to me that technology has made huge advances in the last 50 years and yet unemployment is still around 5% - 10%.

Bitcoin will not have any noticeable effect on unemployment, globally or locally. Unemployment is an intrinsic property of the existing economic system and cannot be eliminated without changing it.

I think bitcoin will not lead to an increase in unemployment. Who earns bitcoin is also a job. A man is wasting his time. And then he pays for the goods and services of other people. It warms up the economy and creates new jobs. And unemployment was and will be at all times. The parasites always sufficed.

People in Crypto world should have hard working and dedication. Otherwise they would not successful.
Every unemployed person doesn't have those qualities. Hence Bitcoin will not reduce unemployment.

Bitcoin won't have any perceptible impact on joblessness, comprehensively or locally. Joblessness is a natural property of the current monetary framework and can't be wiped out without evolving it.

bitcoin has a lot of opportunities to make people self-employed or just be freelancers, it doesn’t guarantee a stable job to anyone. It is a risky choice to dwelve into cryptos and one needs sufficient experience of how things work in cryptos to deal successfully in it.

I do not think Bitcoin is going to reduce unemployment in any ways, either locally or globally. One thing is for sure that the acceptance of Crypto will increase globally.
