Blockchain is good only for decentralization and even only certain types of it (where order of data is important). It doesn't really make sense for companies to give away their power to people, at least not in the short term. They will only use blockchain if they have to, so people don't use it without them.

Facebook uses data to target ads, Amazon to suggest products you'd want to buy based on previous purchases or views and so on. Sharing their data means giving up core of revenue.
