And should I choose USD or what's the smartest thing to do? I'm from Sweden.

For bitcoin and ethereum try to bittrex or poliniex keep any kind of coins are safe. if you wnt to keep safe or if you use bitcoin to exchange into your local fiat currency if they have available site for bitcoin use it fo your convience.
