Title: WATCHDOG: GPU # hangs in OpenCL call, exit
Post by: igotfits on December 21, 2017, 05:54:46 AM
Hey everyone, can someone hit me with some help please.

My comp restarts after a while, and it's always this issue.
I swapped my cards around and it always comes back as GPU5. WEIRD!

I'm assuming you are using PCIE risers? Try reseating all of the GPU5 riser connections (GPU, USB), or try swapping the riser to another slot to see if the problem follows.

Then figure out which motherboard slot is assigned to GPU5 when they are all connected.  Then disconnect that GPU completely and try running the system.

If it's Nvidia cards you'll still see a GPU5 because they are assigned numerically by the driver by quantity of GPUs in the system, not slot or PCIE bus ID.   See if that solves it, if so then you may have a motherboard issue.

usually this happening when the card mem/gpu , overclocked  / undervolted on the inproper way,
or if you are using bios mod , and the bios wasnt modded on the right way :)

try the card with original bios , and no overclocking/undervolting... reset all settings and try ..
