Title: Multibit Unconfirmed BTC, safe to switch to Electrum?
Post by: daeven on December 21, 2017, 11:11:03 PM
Hey guys!

Was trying to transfer my old BTC from Multibit 0.5.1 to a Jaxx wallet the other day so i could retrieve my BCH.
First transaction went through fine but i missed on one decimal so it wasn't the whole ammount.
Second one didn't go through, i think it was too little left for fees. Could not find it on the blockchain. But my balance on multibit was 0.
I've tried to repair the wallet 5-6 times but it leaves me with diffrent results every time. Sometimes it shows the half of the total ammount and the rest is unconfirmed, sometimes it's 0 and so on.

Now im left with the whole ammount but it's unconfirmed so can't do anything.
Saw that you could move the wallet to Electrum. Is it safe to do so when my account balance is unconfirmed?

Help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, it should be fine to move to Electrum... it will probably show up the confirmed transactions etc. I assume you're moving from MultiBit HD and have your 12 wallet words? If so, just follow the video released by MultiBit and your wallet will be recreated in Electrum.
