Title: I need help with blockchain.info
Post by: partsofgarble on December 22, 2017, 05:54:47 AM
I have stuck in there about 150$ worth and if I want to transfer them over it tooks about 35$ fees.
I need to know how to import this to another wallet to size the fees.
Can't find the way to do it, help is appreacited.

Do you have a 12-/18-/24- word seed backup? Or can you export the private keys of your addresses?
If so, you can import them into another wallet (e.g. electrum: https://electrum.org/#home (https://electrum.org/#home)).
You will be able to adjust the fee as you wish, but low fees lead to low (to no) confirmation time.
Currently there are 280k+ unconfirmed transactions waiting to get confirmed.
The only way to send your coins cheaply is to send a low-fee-TX and wait for it to get confirmed.
To get an estimated time interval until your fee will probably get confirmed, you can visit: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ (https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/)

Exposing the Seed online will destroy the integrity of the wallet, so do not use that wallet again, once you did that.

If I may ask, why are you in such a hurry to withdraw that BTC from Blockchain.info? The high fees are a temporary problem, because the network are very congested now. If you are willing to wait a few days, then the MemPool will probably be mined and the fees will decrease.

The miners are jumping back and forth between Bitcoin and BCash at the moment to mine the most profitable fork and this is causing the higher fees.

There is no solution for this problem right now, we have to wait until miners switch back to mine bitcoin and left bcash.
If you want to get it confirmed faster, there is no other ways instead of pay high fee, around 960 satoshis/byte or at least you can set it 750 sats/byte.
Well, I wouldn't recommend to do a transaction at the moment, at least until bitcoin difficulty decrease within few days and the mempool back to normal.

That matter is only normal i think in all the wallets about bitcoin the blockchain.info has the lowest fee cause you can customize the lowest satoshi that is available on your wallet or the least calculation of it.

if your transaction stucks use any transaction accelerator tool to fasten up the transaction you will get the fund in the destination wallet soon. Think that your transaction sticks due to network delay so try the viabtc accelerator tool.
If you want to import the wallet you can use your private key and do that. For clear information you please check in any article according to the wallet you want use for importing.

Is mnemonic same thing as seed?

Or can you export the private keys of your addresses?
Where on the dashboard do we find the private keys for a blockchain.info acc? How about for Exodus?

Yes

There is no feature like that in blockchain.info's dashboard. For you to access your private keys, you have to use a third party tool like this one: https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39 (Download it and run it offline)

How about for Exodus?

Enable the Developer Menu (Ctrl+Shift+D) after that Go to Exodus --> Developer --> Assests --> Btc --> Export private Keys
