I seen many coins in last two weeks their rate increased up to 150% for 24 hours. like XVG, EMC2 & REDDCOIN. Is it all luck that people who bought those altcoins? or you got some techniques that this alt will boom in next few days.

I am excited to learn this art! :D

I call it buying technique. Buy when there is good news or opinions from influential people because it usually cause FOMO
such as John McAfee's tweet that caused XVG to the moon

This is more for short term gains and speculation. It is reactive. You buy after the news and while profit is to be made, the huge 100x+ moves require studying the fundamentals and be there when no big names talk about the coin. If nobody is talking about it, it is even better.

One word. RESEARCH.

It does takes a lot of time studying about the fundamentals if you are planning to hold the alt of your selection for a long period of time, also my you are day trading you need to learn TA.

Luck is a matter for sure. But we can't leave everything for luck. You should research before investing in any ICO. I normally look at the technology of the coin/blockchain and the team working on it. The news is also very relevant as this causes a coin to pump/dump.

I think it's combination of luck and research. You need them both. And always approach new coins with low % of your roll.
For example, you could do the best research ever, but you can't predict the movement of pump and dump groups, shark capitals, etc.

I used to try to analyze coins, this is given to me with difficulty, recently I buy according to the recommendations on the forum and it's simple. I myself do not know how to choose.
I had both XVG but I poured it off for a penny.

Certainly not guessing, I usually search ICO project in https://www.bitcoinsuisse.ch/, the site of the ICO project are generally fine, then I will go to understand the project information and the team is a liar.

Luck is an integral part of this, but research remains the most important.

I would say it is about being able to read economical charts-graphs and decide whether it is gonna increase or decrease or stable itself.

Investing requires a lot of research and some technical analysis,or fundamental analysis you dont need to be lucky to be able to get x10000 profits in just few hours luck has nothing to do with trading.

Don't choose the bumped coin which is suddenly when the price correction on the top listed coins such as BTC,ETH and other top five coins. Especially in the hard fork time top listed investors sometimes turns back to cheap altcoins but when the time bitcoin again bumped in the chart, you will find the dump on those coins.
 Choose coin which is shows the gradual price changes and frequent demand on the supply. Those coins will be best one to invest on it.

Before investing in any altcoin, always remember that this requires attention and one hundred percent focus. And this is not for everyone so study first before venturing in any altcoin investment. Consider all the factors as to determine when to start and stop in investing.

Trading doesnt required pure luck neither investments,it requires researching,analysis and common sense.

Very few user get lucky to invest into an altcoin selecting in a random manner. Prior to investing into an altcoin a thorough analysis is a must and then it's good to invest into it. This will provide knowledge to understand the growth happening with the particular asset. There are people who were unlucky ends up losing even after they invest after analyzing much.

What is the reason for the growth of a currency or token value? A promising project, practical and technical benefits, project delivery.

What leads a post, advertisement, comment of person, influence a growth? With the delivery of the project, Dev activity and comments it justifies the growth.

When there is no news, comments that leads to high growth? maturation,

What I mentioned here is pure Fundamentalist analysis.

You need to carefully study the company that develops cryptocurrency. I've had my eye on the WAVES and decided to invest in them. One can observe that they are developing steadily and are trying to oppose itself to eth. I think that we will see a growth of 2-4 from current prices.

Hits like that usually follow some statement of some popular figure or announcement that somebody is joining a team or some big company is going to adopt certain project.

In actual it is an art to make prediction more probably in favour of the future of that particular coin According to current time market pump/dump ( I don't mean say that upp the price with particular no. Of people group , I meant only demand in cryptocurrency market ) .
Most of the times it happened that when price of bitcoin get started to increase then with this increase the Market of altcoins get started decrease until the market of bitcoin get stable of get down .
So in this interval of time if you have bitcoin and attention at any coin ( better by technology and potential by user )  is much down than what we can expect , for example Digibyte , rdd , xvg etc these gets down much but after stability and decrease in market of bitcoin made these coins market up .

you do research on the project behind the coin, also you check if the are some major news releted to project. for example https://www.viberate.io/ this coin jumped after being listen on jaxx.

I just see the concept behind it.If the concept is good then I will really get the coins immediately. For example now I have gone with Edu tokens which were released by Is university team members their concept of Education is really good which can create revolution in the market in coming years.
