I agree but to see the BTC collapse every minute and the altcoins that follow it is such a torture! I am absolutely convinced that it is only a matter of time. Right now it's a dangerous game and it's not easy to take decision

It will be happening next month. Remember there is no valid reason to give any support to this big bearish rather than people are rushing to take their profit from their trade activities.
it should mean if the crypto gonna be bullish as fast as possible. We just repeat another history.

Dont think so,this is just a corection.Reason that i think this is that 3 months ago if btc was going 20% down alts would go more then 50% down while now they are pretty much the same.Think that btc will be stable on some price levels without much price action while alts will have a great year

The fall is brutal, I think we are close to stability, I do not believe that it will melt much more, anyway, it's time to buy and wait. When pulling up is going fast.

There is no reason to support this to bear market and we don't have power individually to reverse it. We will only wait for the market to reach another equilibrium in wihch it's strong enough to go up again.

As expected bull run is coming for sure i agree with you, bitcoin price are making bottoming pattern on their charts and altcoins have started rising already, in fact you could have bought yesterday when they were available at lower prices comparing to today. I have bought bitcoin in small quantity near $1200 price levels and if demand comes will add again near 1400 to 1500 levels.

What we are now seeing is the huge correction that was desperately needed for a long time! Im also sure that this is only the preparation for the next big bull run on altcoins! Bitcoin will appreciate too, but I guess the big winners this time will be the altcoins. Just hope that I invested in the right ones!

I think bull rua has already been and now we see the beggining of big correction that affect all the market. Hope Im wrong but it is my opinion

This is what i would call a "healthy" correction. Honestly, the jump to 20k reeked of fomo investors and was doomed for a correction

I think the bull market will wait 2-3 weeks. They are two reasons for that
1. Most of the exchanges are not accepting new sign up, this will lead to fewer people investing in altcoins
2. It is holiday season on many places around the world(Christmas and new year celebrations) I don't think it is on many people mind now to buy alt coins and crypto in general

total marketcap dropped from around 620bil to 499bil, when money comes back we hopefully see the bull run continue

We are coming from bullish market now :) You are late. Why do you think bullish market will return quickly? Whale need some rest to get more coins with scaring people who don't know the rules trading. 2018 gonna be fine. I am exciting to see new years price how will be settle.

It is a big correction, yes, but it was foreseeable. Nothing can grow endless. Also in the crypto market all is 10x faster than in the traditional stock market or elsewhere.

Yes, the history has shown that after a bearish there will be a bullish. So when Bitcoin hit the bottom at $12800, it will rise again. You should buy bitcoin soon before it comes back again

Almost all altcoins including bitcoin are experiencing price downtrend or in Christmas correction. This consolidation might continue throughout the holiday season with some altcoins trying to break the trend. It is also time for buying some of them while they are still in red and bearish mood. Bullrun might happen next year when investors are back in business spending holiday.

I'm hoping for it at least , when new people see how bad bitcoin is working and that there are much faster alternatives i think many will jump ship. But for new people the altcoin market can be a bit overwhelming.. There are so many different coins that all have different uses or do the exact same thing. If you aren't tech savy it is gonna be hard to see which coins will be good for the future.

I think we still have some room to move down.

Down it goes, it very rarely starts going up after being static for a day or so.

I think we won't see a lot of action through Christmas and January with festival holidays taking place.

Come February we will see a huge rise.

We can't predict what will happen and it doesn't even matter what we think will happen. The market decides.

Definitely, history will repeat for good so better to take this golden opportunity to buy more bitcoin, it will bounce back any moment from now. People who sell on panic will surely buy back and incur some loss at its own expense.

I will agree bull market will continue if bitcoin will break up 16-17k. Otherwise this is just a head and shoulder pattern and we can visit 11ks again

However we will have another bull run for bitcoin and altcoins in the end. Only it will take another 2 months to reach it.

Then again you will not need any analysis for altcoins since most of them will increase without a solid reason in a bull market

If the news is true about central banks beginning to buy into crypto next year, 2018 will dwarf what we've seen in 2017.

why would central banks buy crypto and destroy their century's old money from air ponzi scheeme.   If they get into this they will do so with their own coins.  I am not saying that will be succesful, but they are not going to watch their money from air scheme just roll over.  Next year they will start to fight and they own many governments and many corps as well

Thank God I hold my coin and I will keep hold some percentage of my coins for some time. I have been selling and hold some in other not to be taken unaware with a surprise move.  Bull run is currently gathering momentum and I just speculate we may hit $25,000 by first quarter of next year. A lot is being putting in place and that is why we are having this corrections we have that has push bitcoin backwards and  since morning it has regained alot and I expect that any moments from Monday next week we might experience another serious push.

On 1 January 2017 Cryptocurrency Market Capitalizations was 18 billions. Now it is about 600 billions. 30x growth.
What we can expect from 2018? Can capitalization will be more than 4 billion by the end of 2018?

You mean 4 trillion? Definitely in the realm of possibility. Would be crazy if it did another 30x to 18 trillion.  ;D
John McAfee thinks Bitcoin will be $80k end of 2018. That would mean ~1.4 trillion just for Bitcoin. Assuming a 2/1 ratio for Altcoins (I think Altcoins will experience more growth because they are cheaper) that would be 4.2 trillion.

I dont think we will see a bullrun this year. After the correction last day many people loose the trust in bitcoin, and wait now to watch the market what happens.

Nobody lost trust in Bitcoin except maybe newbies and people who never liked the idea in the first place. If all it takes for you to get scared is a mild wind then maybe sailing cryptos is not for you. It's Christmas time and people used their money for that, some long-term holders locked in profits. Mass adoption for Bitcoin may never occur but it sure as hell is a rock solid speculation vehicle.

It looks like you're back on the Bull market. Very few investors only realize their investments.

Then we have nothing to do about it because investors who have not see the nice outcome will soon regret that decisions made. Bull market will happen specially these days that price seemingly unpredictable, due to we can't expect it when to rise or when to fall. This month was so difficult to figure out what will be the result on the next days, because forking of bitcoin transactions happened while many people cash out their funds for the holiday seasons spending budget; and that's a huge amount of money affecting price value to decline very fast.

Joining the trend now and hoping for a great new year. The bull are about to begin and those who hold will make good profit. Trust cryptocurrency because this the future that will move us for a better tommorrow.

I agree with this. Bitcoin and other alternate cryptocurrencies are going to skyrocket their value come 2018. As of today, we are on holidays as many Bitcoin holders are withdrawing their funds to buy Christmas presents for their families and friends.

I got tempted to sell some of my coins, but I choose to hold them for now till the big bull run. I'm using my few Paypal coins to cashout for Christmas. :D

The market of crypto currency has become very unpredictable. But I hope that after the fall the market will start growing again and bitcoin will exceed the previous maximum price.

Thats not going soon, imho first weeks of 2018 will be bearish because of peoples who will take profit in new taxable year

lol dude this has happened 10 times this year. People that bought at 20k and panic sold at 12k may lose faith but the rest of us know things are going to keep moving up.

Price corrections do really happen which this thing isn't really surprising at all and checking out that the lowest price of bitcoin on those corrections did able to go back on 12.8k usd which is the right spot to buyback and on last few days bitcoins price did stabilize on 14-15k range and now we are climbing again on 16k usd price and hope it would reach out 20k out soon or even this 1st month of 2018. Its possible but no one really knows on when it will happen the same on altcoins too.

Bitcoin and all other coins dropped significantly during the "correction".
Alot of money was poured in the cryptocurrency market which boosted prices again.
Bitcoin price is already 16.500$.
The correction didn't last too long. It was a short period but enough for traders to buy as much coins as they could.
Unfortunately, I didn't have enough money to buy what I wanted  :-\

Let us wait and see what happens in the new year. I think mostly it should be a bull run and 2018 welcome would be with the 17k+. Already the price has crossed now 16k+ and in another 3-4 days it should make it 17k and again we will have new high in 2018. BTC prices is making some good end finally for 2017.

This has already begun. I see that the price rises every day. And it seems to me that by the New Year's holidays the price of bitcoin will rise again to $ 20,000

lets first see if new money really comes, I would not be suprised to see a couple of dips before it really takes off again

Agree. Crypto will have big growth in 2018. But we have to admit that Cryptoworld is changing very fast. Hope that 2018 will change Cryptoworld from Hype-oriented vector to "ground basics"- oriented vector. 2017 was a year of big crypto hopes. 2018 will have to show some crypto projects and solutions. Second that.  First scare off the noobs into panic selling (a lot already did perhaps) , then rebound to make them FOMO buy.  Then back down to grab their stop losses and then we're off :)

It isn't always yet time for the market to get better. which I see a bad return marketplace as many human beings still promote their property because of volatile expenses. they select to attend until the rate reaches the bottom factor.

Now we can see how cryptos take back their positions by fluctuating. But I think after ETF at the end of the September situation will be better. Today we need to prepare and buy good coins for the future. What about the real bull run -  we are far from that.

Why did you recreate this thread that remained in the interval month? You must have done a lot of research to find this :D  and despite the fact that a year has passed, the comments on this thread are not different now, we still same problems :D

when will the Moon be like the beginning of the year. is it only last a while and until now it is still down dractically ?? I will wait for Bull to peak again

it would be okay to end the year with a bull run at least half the price last year. for our chrismas is good. and we will be well prepared for the upcoming 2019. We will strengthen our hearts just trust the crypto.

It is normal that after such a growth, Bitcoin fell, and hopes that soon there will be at least one more probably not justified. I do not think that after such a correction, everything will quickly recover to the same level.
