Title: Claymore Dual mining Question Post by: JUPIE2008 on December 22, 2017, 11:48:20 AM Gooday all
I was wondering if somebody could put me on the right track. I installed the newest version of the claymore miner to dual mine Ether & siacoin. After creating the batch config on NANpool and after flashing the bios of the RX580 i get 20mh/s on ether and 620mh/s with Siacoin with dual running. If i single mine ether only then i get 30mh/s. Is that how its spose to be or am i doing something wrong. Question is shud i be getting 29mh/s with siacoin running and if so what could i be doing wrong. Thx for the opportunity to as questions on here. P.S am only using the one card atm ....waiting for delivery of 4 more. regards Jupie Title: Re: Claymore Dual mining Question Post by: os2sam on December 22, 2017, 12:11:47 PM https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=556244.msg6060876#msg6060876
Title: Re: Claymore Dual mining Question Post by: Ruz05 on December 22, 2017, 02:37:06 PM After months of mining with Claymore (starting with 9.4) I noticed that the speed for each AMD RX580 fell down from 27.5 MH/s to 24.7 MH/s.
I tried newer versions (Claymore 10.0) or restarting the machine but it always mines with this 10% lower speed. Switch to Claymore GPU Cryptonight miner and you will hash at over 800 h/s per card with RX 580. Earnings will be the same and the energy consumption will be way lower, about 85-95 watt for a card.

Hey Ruz05 i noticed on the new Radeon driver there is a setting where you can change the GPU from Graphics to Compute....... Is the new Radeon Driver better than the Mining driver suggested to use cause i have noticed the older driver do not have the option to change from Graphics to Compute. For those not seen this its on Radeon Settings > Gaming > Global > Down the list GPU workload |
