Title: bit of an oddity using rasbPI to control asicminer USBs [SOLVED] Post by: Ashkelon on July 27, 2013, 09:35:49 AM So I have 4 USB erruptors, up until three days ago, I ran them off an old laptop, windows 8, cgminer, 1.2ghz, no bother. Couple of days ago, I got a Pi, installed raspbian, compiled cgminer with all product extensions. Cgminer runs, it can see all 4 cards and get them hashing.. at an average of 350mh/s total. That's less than 100 mh/s per card and they were working fine as of last week.
I'm using the same usb3 hub (with a 4A PSU) as i did on the previous computer, however, on the pi, i am plugged into a usb2 socket, but that shouldn't affect bandwith quite so bad. Does anyone know what happned/how to fix it? ROI is hard to get running at full power, at less than a quarter, i'm just heating the house (in july) thanks EDIT this might be the wrong sub, if so I'm sorry and could you point me to the right place? You can't use a USB3 hub on a Pi.
If you'd spent 3 seconds Googling the issue, you'd have discovered that... Title: Re: bit of an oddity using rasbPI to control asicminer USBs Post by: KyrosKrane on July 27, 2013, 02:56:47 PM https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253749.0
Look for USB 2.0 hubs. I'm currently running four Erupters plus the Pi off a single D-Link DUB-H7, and it's been stable for the 12 hours I've had it going.
