Title: First Franchised Venue to Accept Bitcoins? (Blenz) [update] Post by: The Bitcoin Co-op on July 27, 2013, 01:48:38 PM We are proud to announce that we have spread Bitcoin to a Blenz in downtown Vancouver. As far as we know, this is the first franchised venue to do so. Maybe it's just the first one in Canada or in our area; please correct us if we are wrong. We will be having meetings and semi-professional (networking, activities, presentations) Meet Ups here from now on. It's right across the street from the Indian restaurant we signed up. The owners are friends; that's how it happened. We're hoping it spreads and we can make a Berlin out of the area, but it takes time. If you are near Vancouver, and would like to volunteer to give a presentation or conduct an activity related to Bitcoin, please let us know. We plan to bring students from a major local university, and they have learning to do.

When I lived in Yaletown I used to go to Blenz everyday at Helmcken and Hamilton. Does Matt still own that location? You should tell him to get on it as well.
