Title: "Failed to execute script electrum"
Post by: pipapo on December 23, 2017, 01:49:05 AM
Hi,

I downloaded electrum version 3.0.3 yesterday and installed it on my windows 10 (Version 10.0.16299 Build 16299)
I created a wallet and sent my bitcoins to it.
When I want to login and enter my password I get the fatal error "Failed to execute script electrum"
I tried to reinstall it with the  "Standalone Executable" and the "Windows Installer" but the error still appears.
what could I try to fix this?
please help me :)

cheers

Any one Figured out how to fix this? I am completely updated on windows. If I create a new wallet it runs just fine if I load my old wallet.dat it throws the error.

I had similar problem due to corrupt wallet save. Move your wallet files to a temp folded and reopen electrum. It will default to creating a default wallet, which you can do or direct it to a known good wallet.
