Title: Australians Got Screwed These Holidays!
Post by: xJawz on December 23, 2017, 06:27:42 PM
Hi All,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I made this account simply because I need to ask:

Is anyone here in Australia and is stuck at the current moment due to the whole "No $AUD deposits until Jan 2018". It seems to be affecting the "POLi payment" system we have here. It is an instant transfer between an Aussie bank and the crypto exchange/wallet.

I am on most of them and they all seem to have disabled this option. The only other way is "BPAY" and that takes 1-3 business days, and at this time of year, it's near impossible to get the funds cleared.

I unfortunately hold no LTC/BTC as I have traded them in and purchased other coins with them. I really don't want to have to sell any coins just to obtain more.

I literally have $5,000 ready to be transferred and I cannot! Anyone else have this experience and if so, what was your solution?

Apologies if this is in the wrong section. I figured general discussion is exactly what this is.

Thanks and kind Regards All.

So? This happens every year. Christmas is a bank holiday in Australia. You cannot presently withdraw money from your account or transfer money from one account to another by any means. It's not the exchanges' fault. Any transfers made today won't actually be sent until the banks reopen on the 27th, and are unlikely to clear before New Year's Day. Bullshit like this is one of the reasons I got into Bitcoin in the first place.
