Title: Sapphire Radeon 7950 blown capacitor Post by: aoshea on July 28, 2013, 03:56:39 PM Yesterday I restarted one card and i head a "puffft" noise and started to smell something burning. I powered off the psu, when i took a look at the card on of the capacitors I believe is blown off laying 45 degree angle to the board. I have to call newegg tomorrow because the card is only 2 months old. Frustrating

great job on giving us details, i.e. was it a flex? a dual-x? vapor-x? were you running at high overclocks? what temps did you have? vrm temps? The dual-x is a piece of shit.But it should not burn within 2 months, has to be some sort of a malfuction in the cap or low quality what you can expect with those cards... Unless you happen to be lucky enough to be within 30 days of buying then contact company u bought from.
