Title: Buy Bitcoins w/ Paypal
Post by: applelover on July 28, 2013, 11:10:59 PM
I am new here so not sure what standard practice is.  I want to buy bitcoins at whatever is standard cheapest rate I can get.  After browsing quickly I see that paypal is a possible way to cheat people through, so if you have a spotless reputation, I will transfer first  and we can wait a couple of days or however long it is so you see this is no scam, and then you can send me bitcoins.  Then we can keep doing transactions like this to build trust.  Also I can transfer some through citizen bank or bank of america to build trust.  I want between 1-50 BTCs.

bitcoin44me, when I check prices I normally go to www.btc-e.com, but I've never done a deal on here, so I don't know what is standard.  What do you normally do?

I personally use VirWox exchange for my Paypal to Bitcoin transaction. Here's the full explanation >> http://www.btcpedia.com/buy-bitcoins-with-paypal-credit-card/

You're going to lose a lot to fees taking this route.

I pay about 7-8% in fees, but i don't mind when this is the only option to buy some coins instantly.

So why not just use coinbase? You can transfer money from Paypal->Bank->Coinbase. After a few transactions, you can put a debit card on file and instantly buy up to 10btc. They will gradually extend your limit until you get to 40btc or something like that. Always remember: Bitcoin and Paypal do NOT mix. Ask anyone around here. I personally have been duped for almost $1800 and got nothing from paypal but another smack in the face. Not worth it.

I just registered at coinbase as need to buy 0.11btc. But sadly I cannot lift limits as I am in the uk, and can only lift limits with a u.s account.  So site is pretty useless for people like me.

UK Bank Transfer,

A few people will sell BTC via UK-BT.

It's free and instant.

you can buy bitcoins with PayPal at [snip*], it is a new exchange gateway that recently launched, sorry for PR  :)

Do you realize this thread is a year old when you decide to neco bumped it? Now all the newbs will continue making offers. I'm sure you know that, but you just had to inject your advertisement.
