Title: [XSC] XS-Coins are nearly started
Post by: bimbam2103 on December 24, 2017, 05:02:24 PM
COMPLETE REWRITE

XS-Coin V 0.0.1.1 RELEASED

Many people asked me: When the coin is ready. How many coins. How does it work.... So i try to give you as many answeres as possible:

Coin details:
  • Name: XS-Coin
  • Max supply: 184 Billion
  • Target Block time: 240 seconds
  • Difficulty: recalculates after every block
  • Lifetime duration: about ~49 years until all coins are mined
  • Blockreward: recalculates after every block
  • Algorithm: cryptonight/cryptonote
  • Sourcecode: https://github.com/bimbam2103 (https://github.com/bimbam2103)
  • Reward type: PoW

There is still a mining pool manufactured by another person. THANKS TO billhan (discord). He did the first every really running mining pool for XSC: http://pool.xscoin.world (http://pool.xscoin.world).

XS-Coin Main Page

There are still many ressources for XS-Coin. You can enter our forum at https://coin.xs-project.de/forum (https://coin.xs-project.de/forum) or our wiki at https://coin.xs-project.de/wiki (https://coin.xs-project.de/wiki). The most important information on how to use this coin are in the wiki. There are detailed instructions how to use the coin / solo mine and what to do if there is something going wrong.

To download the graphical wallet just visit one of the following links:

  • Windows 7 64-Bit or greater (http://activeation.com/6eql)
  • Linux 64-Bit (http://activeation.com/6etT)

Any help will be very nice
We still need help to let the coinsystem stay online because the servers are eating money :) Real money.

I know XS-Coin does still not have an exchange platform to change to other currencies. This is currently that what i do. You may donate to our project on the crypto addresses in the footer of this post.

Additional you may support our network by running the daemon to provide the blockchain to the entire network. More information for this are on the wiki.

If you need support you may join the XS-Coin discord channel at: https://discord.gg/kX9CfmV (https://discord.gg/kX9CfmV).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Because the coin system works really great i work currently on an complete rewrite of a coin system. It's written complete new and does not have any examples on earth. But that's currently all i tell you about it  ;)

Hi.

The algorythm is hash-based proof-of-work (WikiPedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CryptoNote)).

Thank you @Boilc.

Also i try to complete the website as fast as possible. Currently i work alone and so i need to split my time under several operations :)

Thats correct. As i mentioned in the first post the site is currently not really functional. I work on it currently.

I could not believe that a new, unknown, coin does get so many popularity in so short time.

If you have any improvements just create a post or send me a PM.

If you send me a PM i will remember this because they are all in my inbox :) So i can work on them.

your coin project may be good, but it would be great if this announcement is more detailed, like total supply and roadmap for the future and who the developers behind this project. because an announcement will determine high community interest. I'll wait for the details

Thats a really good question. I did not think about any stock exchanges for now. Do you have any suggestions ? :) Any help is welcome :)

@Vaniaayu: You're right. The announcement was very "short". Also the total supply of coins you can read two posts before. The current developer writes this post :). In short time i will post the site "About XS-Coin" on the webpage but currently i write just the "Getting started". I post a post if iam ready with the page :)

I am very appreciative of your hard work on the project being pioneered and developing it in cryptocurrencies. But as we know, a project should provide detailed information about all the things about the company you are about to establish. And it should also be clear whether this is ICO or not, and when it started.
for a very general suggestion you may need to be able to promote vigorously in order to reach a large community to support all of this.

Hello everyone..

Like sorinslv wrote we need another pool. The pool i used until now is not stable and tries to create bad blocks. So currently only solo mining is possible.

Also our website is nearly finsihed. We write a forum and a wiki for more information about  the coin. Just visit:

https://coin.xs-project.de (https://coin.xs-project.de)

Sorry for the late delay of the coin process. The problems are solved now.

Greetings

for solo mining you need daemon and wallet
https://coin.xs-project.de/wiki/index.php?title=Downloads

open wallet and copy your address
then open daemon and write
start_mining youraddress 3

the number 3 means your core so check your cores and type what you want to use for mine.

This number of coins are with decimals, do not?... because with 44.000 reward block each 6 minutes... are less than 4.000.000.000 XS coins per year and in this case we need other 4.000.000.000 years to take this total number of coins, this is like the actual sun age...

But with 8 decimals... we "only" need 40 years.

The coin topic is now completely rewritten. I hope for the most informations you'll need about the coin.

Also there is a plan to make a new System. Entirely rewritten in python (there are no other examples... it's really new).

No. don't worry.. XS-Coin stays online. The new system makes coin transactions much easier. But for now i will not tell more about the new system. It's at his beginning. Planned first alpha version is at the end of february... maybe earlier.

So please: Don't ask about the new system. I will not tell anything until i get the main functions ready.

When is the exchange?

Title: Re: [XSC] XS-Coins are nearly started
Post by: bimbam2103 on January 02, 2018, 10:39:46 AM
Hello everyone.

Now to the two questions that i not answered yet:

What about a Mac wallet

Currently i work on a mac wallet. That's not so easy because i do not own any mac but i work on it.

Then is the exchange

I think you mean the exchange from XS-Coin to the new one.. There is no exchange planned. XS-Coin will stay for as long it is used. The new Coinsystem will be added as additional coin.

If you mean when the exchange market is available... I don't know. I'm still in conversation with different exchange markets.

Greetings

Dev say that he is working in other different coin, and this (XS-Coins) work well.

I suppose that this coin,  it's like a test/experiment with no more development, future exchange... it's only a copy/paste coin with no future.

Title: Re: [XSC] XS-Coins are nearly started
Post by: bimbam2103 on January 18, 2018, 12:33:44 AM
Hello everybody.

Long time ago i wrote my last post. Now it's time to post an Update:

First: There is no exchange market for XS-Coin. The coin seems to be nearly dead because no one can exchange coins to another currency.

So what's to say about it. I do not work anymore on any exchange methos for XS-Coin because of this:

I currently work on a new system named XSEC-Coin. - No this is not just a new cryptonote coin. It's a coin based on XSEC algorithm created by the XS-Project (or me). The new system is more stable and secure than the old one and also is very fast on hashing and deployment.

First tests are currently running. We do NOT have a website for it yet and we do not offer any downloads yet because it is in bleeding alpha status (V0.0.1). Also we are working currently only on the daemon to provide the network. The first testrun was planned for beginning of february but the current work goes on very well and we started tests on 17.01.2017.

Before anyone asks how long it takes:

I cannot say anything how long it takes because all tools are written completely new in python. The daemon uses encrypted network transactions and (like bitcoin) double sha256 hashing. Also there is no real lifetime limit for the coin. Let me explain: The coin works currently on 32-Bit this means there can be 2147483647 coins for every wallet. We are planning to switch the coin to 64-bit so we can handle 9,223,372,036,854,775,807
coins for every wallet but i think this will not be reached so first the system runs on 32-bit. The backends (daemons) run with a sqlite database which can store up to 140 TB (terrabyte) of data (sure the real limit is lower but also huge).

The XS-Coin will still run and we are also about to create an exchange market from XS-Coin to XSEC-Coin but first we need to complete the daemon, solo miner, wallet and test operations.

AND VERY IMPORTANT:

Any other miner will not work with this system. We are also about to plan a mining pool but this is still a plan for the future. If someone is interested by creating a pool for this system he can send me a PM and i send him the specifications of the daemon back.

Looking forward :)

Greetings

Hi. I think i misswrote my last post :) For the first time (i think for years) the system will stay on 32-Bit. I don't think XSEC reaches the limit of 32-Bit.

Don't worry. You can use the new coin system if it's ready and you will not loose anything :)

I will look forward to it.

After wasted time and hashrate mining a coin born on 24Dec now I see the developer clearly says this coin is dead (after 20 days). How can you think we can trust in your new project? I personally don't even look at the thread or any other things about it anymore.
