Hello everyone....this News  a story about indication in the next years "2018 cryptocurrency crime wave ", A lot of it Cryptocurrencies, certainly obvious more criminal acts , Therefore we as users or owners must be more careful, As an ( example ) more thoroughly for protect account and always update software or antivirus is in need ,to avoid the crime that is not in want . So ..... Get ready for a 2018 cryptocurrency crime wave !!  if you follow the (example ) that has been delivered, obviously you are ready.... ;D or Any idea and good solution ??

yes, I agree with you, that we must protect our account from the perpetrators of crime, especially hackers. securing accounts with authy apps, I think that's pretty safe.

and what??? crypto are making for CYBERCRIMES....DRUGS, PORNOPHRAFY GUNS, ETC>.....this is why BTC is so "EXPENSIVE"

Cryptocurrennies will be just as much involved with crimes as fiat currencies. It's not the currencies fault but the people who are abusing the system.

Or, buy a hardware wallet, you can use that even on a compromised PC in a dark internet cafe in downtown, where there's only open wifi and the PCs are full with keyloggers and viruses, because hardware wallets doesn't send the private keys to the PC, they sign the transaction inside itself and they just send the signed messages back to the PC. Of course this is very extreme example, and you should be extra careful every time even you use a hardware wallet but for now this is one of the safest solutions available.

Yes crypto currency is the need of the modern age and they have give a strong support to it instead of taking any unfavour step again bitcoin. I think people are already taking a very legal livelihood from bitcoin investment therefore i personally do not think that they will try to give any preference to crime using bitcoin. Bitcoin will hopefully remain as the best currency of the online world, and hopefully its popularity and use will continue increasing.

you add popularity, decentralization (so there is no central authority to answer), and monetary value together and that attracts lots of attackers who want to scam other people and take their money away.
the monetary value is more than enough for them to come though.

and the good thing about cryptocurrency (at least bitcoin) is that it is very simple to protect against all these attacks and prevent them from even happening. and in comparison protecting against credit card frauds is impossible and they happen so often that it is starting to become ridiculous!

We must protect our bitcoin with right way never stores the bitcoin on one kinds of place, we must understand about the risk of losing the money in digital coins especially in the bitcoin, so although the there is indicators of a cryptocurrency crime waves may occur in 2018. As community of digital coins we don't blame the bitcoin and other related with them, even the fiat money be used for crime and the people doesn't blamed the fiat money.

When the price goes up, the hackers and scammers become more active. We are already aware of that and we have taken precautions to protect ourselves. Keep most <80% and more> of your bitcoins in cold storage to reduce the risk.
