Title: [QUESTION] Distributeds pools on top of bitcoin protocol
Post by: Un zafado cualquiera on July 06, 2011, 05:27:21 AM
is there a hope to implement distributed hash calc on the bitcoin network?

pools are concentrating too much power and constant attacks degrades the future of bitcoin.

Solution on the way: p2pool (http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=18313.0)

Only one method of implementing a distributed pool has been discovered so far: each participant sends their "share blocks" to all other participants, and each participant pays out according to how much they like the share blocks they've seen from other people. p2pool uses this design, though the decision-making is simplified from earlier proposals (which causes some problems).

However, this method requires all participants to be full nodes, which will be very expensive in the future. The pools themselves also must use a ton of network traffic.

there is a posible F2F (friend to friend) solution. I say...to make a continuity with the existing pools? I really doubt someone join a p2p pool if thy can get power almost instantly.
