How is BTC and ETH different? I am a newbie, which coin should I invest? short and long term

for me you you should invest both either bitcoin or ethereum then wait until the high price.

Well, i think op should do the opposite. Ethereum is best for trading. While bitcoin on the other hand  best for holding since transaction fees are freakin killers plus the time required for every confirmation, bitcoins really aren't ood for trading. At least at this moment that lightning network snt been able to deliver its promises yet .

Do your own research on both cryptocurrencies first, others opinion should not be your investment decision. Learn the fundamental of their technology, their economy growth etc., and try to not get scammed by others.

Bitcoin is said to be one of its kind and the first one to come into effect over the blockchain. Later on coins like ethereum and rest of the coins came into effect. The difference is one is bitcoin and the other is altcoin which is technically alternate coin.

That’s just terminology difference. In the reality nature of work is different for the, and each coin is having its own purpose to serve the particular project.

Ethereum, for example, is used to create smart contracts over its blockchain and thus other alts work on it as the basis of project.

You can invest in both coins as they are the top invested and trusted coins.

The author of the project, Vitalik Buterin, characterized his project as follows: bitcoin is an e-mail service. Etherium - all the Internet with its capabilities, services, perspectives. The last depends on everything, the first - only the product.

As for me, you should go with etherium since it has a great potential that it will compete with the value of bitcoin. But, if you want an instant profit, go for bitcoin. I suggest, you should invest a bit later. Try to learn cryptocurrency and decide. We should minimize the risk, as much as possible.
