well you can not expect these exchanges to provide good service, the more bitcoin increase the price, the more people are getting interested in bitcoin and consequently these exchanges are having many new customers and lots of support tickets for few staff members answering these many support tickets . Either way move your thread here:  Scam Accusations (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0)

PS: post many proof if have and good luck

I do not think they are scam at all. If you look up their website, you can see some major magazines and websites have news about them.

But pls keep in mind that people who deals this kind of "new era businesses" are generally young people. So, be patient.  8)

It's not only Bitstamp that is having problems, other exchanges are having similar problems; verification, trading, withdraw and so on. It's due to the extreme growing interest in Bitcoins these last couple of months. According to Kraken they are working hard to update their hardware. Bitstamp is also warning about up to two weeks waiting time for verification. I don't think you should worry, just yet!

Did you read this from bitstamp? https://www.bitstamp.net/article/bank-holidays-25-26-december-2017-and-1-2-january-/
And maybe they can't responds in that time but right now maybe you can try to contact them and its holiday that is why you can't even receive any responds from them..
Like the other business they also have holiday closed. So patience would be a key to wait for their answer because they don't let their program to be automated due to lots of customers these days..

The kraken was getting 50,000 new account registrations every day in early December, and bitstamp is probably overwhelmed too. The OP will probably eventually get his money. They are probably just overwhelmed rather than scamming.

The recent, unexpected explosion in demand has been overwhelming.  Each of the past few days has produced 50,000 new account registrations and 10,000 new support tickets — an order of magnitude above where we were just last quarter.  Concurrent users, daily trades and volumes are also hitting new all-time highs.  We are struggling to keep up.

Since you've been waiting for so long, try sending a private message to this user Bitstamp-Domen (https://www.reddit.com/user/Bitstamp-Domen) on reddit with your concern, user ID and ticket number if you have. He is actively replying to those who have issues in the site including email confirmation, withdrawal, and deposits. He might be able to help you.

Thanks for the tip. I m going to send a message.

P.S:It is not about withdrawal only but about confirmation mail (withdrawal verification). It is strange that confirmation mail  regarding help ticketing is working, but I never got real answer concerning this issue

Have you been experiencing this before? I have been using bitstamp for a while and i haven ever had this kind of issue about my withdrawals.

I trying to withdraw money & BTC for a weeks but I never get confirmation mail. Have somebody else similar experience?

And i am usually withdrawing often, maybe once a week or so.

Why dont you try to withdraw your balance in other currency instead of BTC? Maybe this could work, i had the same issue on other exchange, and i wanted to withdraw bitcoin and the confirmation wasn't reaching my email.

I just waited 15 minutes, and i withdrew eth, in a few minutes i received the email and the ethereums on my wallet.

Maybe this could help you out

Bitstamp is most definitely not a scam. They are a properly licensed exchange and they enjoy an almost bank-like status in the EU. This is a rare honor among exchanges which is why Bitstamp jealously guards it against withdrawal by Luxembourg's financial regulators. It is this accreditation which gives their customers the peace of mind and confidence, knowing there are proper accountability and audit systems in place.

If you are experiencing any problems with your account, you should contact them if the issue persists outside or beyond the range of dates mentioned on this link:

https://www.bitstamp.net/article/bank-holidays-25-26-december-2017-and-1-2-january-/

Be persistent and patient. Remind them about it and I'm sure it will eventually be resolved.

Cancel the withdrawal then try doing it again. See if the email comes this time. Sometimes the email goes straight to your spam folder, so check that as well.

If everything fails then its time to bug Bitstamp's customer support again lol.

Bitstamp is probably the less scammy of them all. I mean, it's in Luxembourg, and more or less regulated (by their own demand), and normally backed by real money. That's why I chose to keep most of my fiat on it, instead of on your typical chinese exchange/tether combo that could vanish tomorrow with all your money.
Also, Bitstamp has no leverage & margin trading, I feel safer that way. Sadly, they have it under construction, apparently.

But they suck for support, yes. 8 days and still no reply for a support ticket of mine. With fees way above normal average, I'd expect better support.

I also got 1 BTC that took 2 weeks to get there, but it's not their fault, there is/was so many unconfirmed transactions. Given that their withdrawal is free (how? I don't know), you can't blame them for paying fees of hundred's to get them faster.

I withdrew 2 ETH worth euros from the Bitstamp and it was on my bank account in two days. So I will definitely use Bitstamp for withdrawals in the future.

I have to apologies. It was my fault. Actually I received confirmation mail on other (old) mail address, which I completely forgot. Again, my apologies

Take a look at Bitstamp's Reddit and maybe you'll see things differently.
