Title: £5000 to spend on altcoins
Post by: samwolf on December 25, 2017, 12:14:35 PM
I've got around £5000 on coinbase in BTC that I am looking to transfer over the Bittrex to trade some Alt coins.

Ideally I want to do a split between 5 or 6 different coins.

Was thinking:

IOTA
VERGE
DODGECOIN
RIPPLE

And 1 more, but not decided yet.

Not looking for a slow burner, looking to get in and out and make some good monthly profits.

Thanks.

REDCOIN an DENT look good.

I'm looking for something that's not already been pumped.

Ideally I want to be at least doubling my investment monthly.

Is there anyone I should be following on twitter to get in to coins before they get pumped or before they start to raise?

Someone with some good market knowledge.

If you are looking for a coin with more price volatility then BCH is a good option because the price is going at good rate but at the same time it looks good for short term investment as you said for monthly investment bitcoin cash is a good idea. Then my another suggestion is siacoin it looks more promising coin and many experts says that this coin will bump huge in future so add siacoin also into your portofolio.

I also think that in addition to bitcoin, you need to invest in alternative coins. Diversification should be like protecting your deposits. I was sent such information about the echelons of currencies.

1 echelon

ETH (Ethereum)
DASH (Dash)
XRP (Ripple)
XEM (Nem)
NEO (NEO)
IOTA (Miota)
Zec (Zcash)
EOS(Eos)

2 echelon
Waves (Waves)
Strat (Stratis)
Dcr (Decred)
Game (Game Credits)
BTS (BitShares)
Wings (Wings)
Gbyte (Byteballs)
Sys (Syscoin)
SC (Siacoin)
Lun (Lunyr)
Nav (Navcoin)
Omg (OmiseGo)
QTUM (Qtum)

Personally I think BCH has already gone high enough and can't really see me making a huge profit out of this.

SAICOIN looks like a good option.

Any other suggestions?

Is there anyone I should be following for insights, or any groups I should be a part of to see what the next big coin is?

DENT is up 105% in 24 hours, which is great, I would have doubled my money, but I always worry when I see something rising so quickly.

If i have that much to invest in cypto trading, i will choose top altcoins to invest.
Not so easy to double in profit but more profitable and lower risk.

I'm thinking about REDDCOIN, it's up 500% in a week.

But is it just being pumped.

Just my luck to get in on the dump   ::)

Check out Neblio:

- Smart contract platform
- uses 8 languages compared to competitors who use one or three
- Similar to Stratis, Neo, Lisk etc..The difference is it has a marketcap of 100million and they are all a billion or over

In the next 3 months Neblios restful apis will be released, when they are expect this coin to be worth at least a billion and catch up to the value of similar projects like stratis.

You probably chose these coins because you think they are "cheap"? Well you are wrong, check their suplly and market cap, not the price... plus these coins already had their pumps so if you're okay with buying the top and losing all of your money, then go for it.

I don't recommend invest in IOTA , BCH and RIPPLE right now because price not stable , how about bancor , paypie or POWR ? by the way , there are high risk you will loss your fund or you will get a huge profit , Good Luck

definitely EOS is the best choice of your 5th portfolio! or Qtum, ICO based qtum blockchain begins raising one by one, so. one example of qtum token is qgup or Matchpool token runs on qtum network

u can buy erc20, i think erc20 is "doge token" but the difference between dogecoin and erc20 is erc20 has max supply while dogecoin has unlimited supply, so i think its good idea to invest in erc20 for long term xD

Perhaps you can consider XZC ALTCOIN, compared with other hybrid encryption altcoin, XZC's price is still very low.

No Doge

Ripple/IOTA/Verge shud be a good one

But in the current case i wouldn't really suggest you to put on Verge as it is pumped but if you are okay with long term, it shall be a good deal :P

Thanks for the advice guys.

I'm not looking to invest and hold, I've been doing that for long enough.

The £5k is profit I have made over the last month from BTC and ETH, so it's not like I am gambling all my cash.

Looking to get in and out and make a good monthly profit.

On another note, is Bittrex the best exchange for trading Alt's?
