Title: DOGE thoughts. Good entry point?
Post by: Norcal2020 on December 25, 2017, 04:24:01 PM
Seems like there is some history with DOGE and can't tell if it's now a good entry point, or a trap.  Any thoughts on DOGE? Just hit a penny.

Good choice for newbies. Costs not that much, is constantly growing, has some hype due to its logo and name thus is always in top list of cryptocurrencies. Feel free to buy some of it to get to know the crypto :)

I don't think Doge really has some development going on, which means that any price increase is most likely not based on any fundamentals, but rather caused by some pump & dump speculations. This being said, getting into Doge seems to be quite risky. It definitely wouldn't be my coin of choice.

The legendary dogee coin in my opinion is only for short tradings, because it has no use at all just a copy of BTC with faster tx speed.

Not really convinced. I don'r see the price increases very high. They don't have any changes planned. But it has a good reputation, it should be quiet stable.

Quite risky I agree, it is a good coin and if you enter now to hold for years than it would be a good entry point, but it is hitting the moon right now and I would only risk what you are ok with losing.

I do like DOGE , good long history that has contributed to the community in the early days.

I don't think so, it looks like another doge pump.
Maybe people are using it again because high bitcoin fees, who knows.
Good entry point? 15-20 satoshi.

I am really not sure is this a good entry point or exit point but looks Like some whale game going around all the altcoins where they want to show profit in crypto currency for the government.

i don't think doge will have a real role in the future of crypto. Maybe if you are lucky you can gain with some pumps, but in my opinion it's not a coin to invest to it (especially for a long term investment)

And waaaay lower network fees.  If you think that's trivial, you're a dribbling cretin.  I'd much rather use doge right now than bitcoin.  In fact, with $48 being the lowest fee on mycelium right now, I'm pretty much stuck and can't use bitcoin.

Agreed. The Dogecoin later will definitely loose it's positions. It's useful now for a small transactions and rising couple of funds but it will vanish soon.

The question is how much can you risk? In anyhow investing with crypto needed to be studied as we anticipated swings and big fluctuations the value of doge keep increasing and its getting attention due to its low fee and much better transaction speed. Better to understand the risk and how to handle it before making any moves.

It increased by more than x7 during the last week, do you really think that you should invest now? I dont know, i would never do it specially because the price has increased by more than 700%.

it is the same as saying that you would buy bitcoin at $100,000 and one day ago was $30,000.

Keep in mind that DOGE coin was created purely as a novelty. The price is doing well but I have doubts of it surviving in the long-term since it really doesn't serve much of a purpose.

Honestly looked into doge quite a bit and i realized although it serves a very small futile purpose, it has not only followers but people who believe in its use. It’s a simpler edge with a fun twist. The truth there will be a market for that once cryptos grow and become accessible to younger people. The sinplistic and fun edge to it will prevail. Question is, can it survive that long? Despite the creator trying to keep it around and determined to do so.

I don't think that there is something special happening right now with Dogecoin, and maybe it is just another pump and eventually the price will dump soon when investors who pumped it takes their profit. I like Dogecoin because of low fee but aside from that we can't expect anything with this meme coin that has unlimited supply and also we can't expect any development from Dogecoin because the development team of this cryptocurrency has already abandoned it. Anyway it can still be good coin for short term trading but don't know if it can reach even 50 cents.

Today I received a mail from mBIT casino, they started to accept litecoins, bitcash and of course DOGE! What to say about this little altcoin, everyone accepts it, you can do many things with it, you can mine it, trade with it. No matter how this coin was created and what was dev plan with this coin, but it still here and being accepted in various places.
Today price is 66 satoshis, its up a lot, I can`t say this is a good entry point, price of doge can go down again or climb to 100 and that to drop, think about twice about entering with big money now, but little now, see situation and what is happening and maybe invest more, good luck my friend.

I love dogecoin it's great and a nice affordable starter coin and great at making cheap and easy transactions.

It's a copy of ltc actually.... Totally different algorithm.

Last time it went past 100 then dropped. I had a feeling it was time it went up again.
