This should probably be made a topic on the Bitcoin wiki.  I don't think we should sticky this thread, since people are concerned about a conflict of interest with respect to maintenance.

Also, Any such list should point out that anyone can run their own P2Pool node directly as this is the preferred (secure and lower stales) way to run p2pool.

Well, regardless of what your thoughts are and no disrespect intended.  The Bitcoin Wiki doesn't really have a list of P2Pool's or any other pools for that matter.  I offer an un-biased list, only that to be on this list your node is active, working and alive. 

I still stand with this that to be on this updated list you will need to contact me via PM and I will verify your address, fees, etc..

I will personally check these weekly to verify they're still up and running and that fees have not changed and have no problem adding anyone who would like to be added to this list.  They simply just need to PM me to keep this a clean setup.

Unlocking topic, so that new P2Pool nodes can post in here.  I will still maintain the list as usual, I would prefer a PM with the format listed above, but if you want to list your node below that is fine as well.  I will keep the same rigorous maintenance needed to keep a fresh, clean listing of pools. 

Next update I will do to the list will be in chronological order based off of fees.  Lower fee pools will be placed first and higher towards the end.  This will help alleviate people from robbing the public of their hard earned Bitcoins.  If you feel this is inappropriate, than you as a node owner should stress to the miners the cost, electricity, hardware depreciation values, etc..

Unlike the previous P2Pool Server List, I will maintain this to my best ability and update this daily if possible at most weekly with new nodes, or any updated changes made by the pool operators.

I cannot stress this enough, PM me with the format so I can update the list accordingly and if you'd like to bump the thread after your node has been updated and listed on the unofficial, "official" P2Pool Server List, by all means so that miners can find us more easily.

All have a 0.25% fee.   The fee is to pay for the overhead of the servers they run on.  Anything in addition to those fees will be given back out after the server bills have been paid for in donations back into P2Pool.

My node was down for a little while, adding more RAM to the server, so Hyper-V has a bit more breathing room. SQL was eating most of the machine's RAM  ::) - all back in action again.

it's bizarre to me how many people use 'p2pool.org' given its always horrible efficiency ratings,  i guess it's just the address

847Pool is now running p2pool 13.3.  Happy mining.  ;D

Edit: Also brought a 5kW solar panel online this week, so 847Pool is running on nothing but solar power (for the summer anyway).  Greenest p2pool node?  Possibly. 

Pool list has been checked and modified accordingly.

Changes:
1 US Node w/ 2% fee went to 0% fee and was moved up accordingly.
1 EU Node went offline and has had a strike through placed on it for the next 48-72 hours, before it is removed.
1 Asian Node needs upgraded, with a remark left next to the entry.

Make sure to verify for yourself before mining that fees are set properly.  I check them about once a week, but you still might want to verify them on your own to be certain.

Thank you for adding the two on the list.  I hope some People may consider to use the node first as the pool fee is low as 0.5%.

I think you will find, those are in India not HK.

I am the operator. Using no-ip service for this, The  IP address I am using, Which is very sure that the system is in Hong Kong.

The IP Location Founder tells my current information, 221.127.*.*, Is in Hong Kong, The no-ip it also be.

I have updated you on the list, it must of slipped by me to put you above the other two given your fee rates.   However, if you can PM me your IP address to the server to verify its location and it must be xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9332 for example that will match the exact same pool, and can then verify its location.  This way it should settle any nerves about the given location of this spot.

It's not really, it's only 20 panels.  £10k investment, ROI thanks to government payback in less than 4 years.

Can't imagine with that much cloud coverage it would produce a good amount of energy.  I know you said it wasn't your house, but still.. :P

It's actually less efficient when the sun is blazing directly on it, than it is on a bright and cloudy day. 

With direct sunlight the panels heat up too much and lose efficiency. 

Today there's a light covering of white cloud, and the panels on both sides of the house are producing quite a bit of power (close to 4kW).  It's this brightness without direct sunlight that makes it possible to have the panels on the north side of the house as well as the south side.

The CryptoMiner node in Australia at cryptominer.org:9332 has been converted to be a sub-pool, so the fee is now 100% and payouts are automatically made when the matured balance reaches 0.25BTC (by default).

Thanks for the update.  I will figure out how to adjust this, perhaps add a sub-pool P2Pool category?

polarhei has PM'd me with details on the IP address and I can confirm that I can connect via IP:9332 to it and have cross referenced the IP address to show it is in fact located in HK.

Not sure, but to settle any possible argument, I simply just verified the information.

BTCMiners added the San Francisco node back to the list, it is a 0% fee P2Pool.

Location: Europe, Poland, home machine, not guaranted 24/7 uptime (but I`m trying!)
Always use backup servers (another P2pool node using same payout address will just add payout from all nodes you mine).

You're welcome.  The old Bitcointalk.org P2Pool list hasn't been maintained in nearly a year.  It was sort of a free-for-all and a guessing game on which nodes were still active and running.  I've spent a fair amount of time organizing it all to make it coherent and I hope my time has proved valuable to the community.

Was going to go with these guys cuz their local to me but according to what I assume is their website ( http://bitcoinmining.co/ ) they actually have a 2% fee.

That's too bad to hear.   BTCMiners does have a 1% fee; however that includes just a little help monetarily for running the server and also keeping up on this wonderful resource here on Bitcointalk.   If you feel 1% is too much there are others out there with 0%.

I was mostly posting that cuz the OP is incorrect although I am in the market for a p2pool to join. I just can't figure out if its worth it with my teeny tiny operation...only 3.5 Gh/s

Haha, np.  At least it's within a reasonable distance! I do have a 1% fee, that goes to help pay for the server bill, though I can manage it without, but every bit helps.   Secondly, I hope more people mine at my pool and that 1% fee adds to the contribution I'm making towards the community on updating and keeping the current P2Pool list up to date. :)

I think it would also be important for the pools to list their bitcoind limitations.
Some p2pools are configured to limit transactions drastically on the Bitcoin network and thus are bad for Bitcoin.

i've had litecoin up @ http://nogleg.com:9327/static/ for a while now as well

unless it becomes standard to note the donation %'s, I guess no real reason to have it on mine.  to me it implies that other pools are  at 0%.  maybe it should only be noted if it's above 1%

hmm, that'd actually be nice if p2pool pulled the bitcoind information on maxblocksize, fees, etc and posted it on the web page somewhere

How about I put in a paragraph on the P2Pool guide.  Also, some things are best left untouched.  gmaxwell and I had this conversation via IRC the other day that 'less is more' in terms of -flags and arguments, because those are put there mostly for situations that would require tweaking, where as most people shouldn't need to change much if any at all.  But if you all want, I'll add a paragraph about this all in the initial post and link to the P2Pool Guide.

Update.  Anyone have a pool that needs modified in listings or added/removed?

If you read the p2pool thread, it's not rare for people to change these settings ... so a comment about it is rather pointless.

zvs's idea is actually the best suggestion I've heard.

Very true that people do use them, however, he is right for the most part.  He is right in the sense that the developer spent more time thinking about whatever flag you're wanting to turn on... say --max-cons or --outgoing-conns those two flags alone, don't you think forrestv spent more than a few minute thinking on what would be the most ideal situations need?  Sure there are extreme instances where those two flags would need to be modified.

As for the Bitcoind Blocksize and txfee  and p2pool fee, those are up to the user.  I'd hope you'd also take those into account as well that the makers of Bitcoind (Satoshi and the continuing devs..) have put some thought into it.   Saying gmaxwell is pointless is basically giving forrestv and the devs of Bitcoind a slap in the face, BECAUSE THEY DESIGNED AND ARE WORKING ON IT!!!  :)

I nixed my LTC pool since nobody used it in like 10 days, but I guess it was never listed anyways.

I have a quarkcoin pool up now at nogleg.com:8372 (http://nogleg.com:8372), 0% fee, 0% donation.  Though not sure if it'd be considered p2pool in the classical sense?  It's running as a solo pool

I'm going to have connection issues for the next week or so here (pulling CAT5 through the house, moving electrical sockets, etc, etc), so 847Pool is going down as of now.

Considering I've had about 3 miners connecting for a total of about 10 minutes, I don't think it'll be missed.  I doubt I'll bring it back up in a hurry.

I'll strike through your pools with with an ETA of being back up 10 days from now so that would place it on September 9th, 2013 by 00:00 UTC and then it will be removed from the list.  The strike through will be left there since you gave notice on it being down, but after 10 days I will have to remove it as I've said I will only keep updated P2Pool nodes on the list.   However, thanks for the update and will update it accordingly.

I guess you could add a flag when starting p2pool to 'hide' that info if you want to (some boolean), not really sure why it would bother anyone, but..

Some error occurs when quitting mining, need for more investigation, which is currently now down until the last October 2013 for stability test and other issues.

I currently am investigating the Scrypt(N,1,1) ,known as Scrypt-Jane at a moment, which will be more problem to follow up due to instable stages found.

Update information:

Asia node added.  2 EU Nodes removed. Fee change on node from 1% to 100% as they're not running as a P2Pool possible removal of said pool may be an option since they're not with the spirit of P2Pool nodes.

IYFTech node now has a 0% fee! Hardware upgraded & software updated.

I had to take my node offline until I can figure out my network issues.  I was sending/receiving WAY to much data for a 50Mbps connection and I was the only one mining.   Will probably colo my server in a DC in the near future, not sure yet.  I'd also like to point out that I am glad to take any sort of donations, my BTC link is below.. :)

Limit bitcoind's connections?

Tried.  Granted I was using a home connection w/ 60 Mbps Down 25Mbps Up with bitcoind connections at 20 and p2pool at 10 in and 10 out -- nothing else running.   Found a server in Georgia I'm going to be using.  It's almost done downloading the block chain right now..

Two new nodes added.  They're located in Mexico and are listed appropriately within the North America listings.  I was told the LTC will be 0% fees for September but will go up to 1% next month.  I've already listed it at 1% so I simply do not forget, but as of right now it is 0%.

Thanks for the contributions everyone and feel free to donate a little BTC if you can, it takes time to check all of these on a regular basis to make sure they're up and running and we do not have any dead pools within our list, so anything helps! :)

when I was running server on home connection, I just had bitcoind connection to one IP and p2pool connections to 5 or 6....

p2pool used to use a lot more bandwidth than it does now.  bitcoind, you only need to be connected to a couple of nodes to get blocks propagated fast.  i wouldnt recommend one (ddos, offline, etc), but 3 or 4 should be fine

New node added in EU.  HellDiverUK your node has been removed for now until you have it back up and running.  I let it go 3 days past your initial statement, I know you have a PSU on it's way or some hardware of some sort, just message me when it's back up and running and I'll add you back to the list.  Just trying to keep it clean and up to date.

hmm.. if that is true I will tune latency . but I had not seen any problems while mining with less latencies.

i just setup my p2pool server today. it is running on a vserver (kms) - 2 Cores Intel® Xeon® E5-2620 - 8 GB RAM - located in germany.
if response is good i will setup a litecoin server too. i already pmed bitminter to add my server in the serverlist but here you can use it right now if you want.

there is a lot of 'hash > target' spam, but the main thing is

New work for worker! Difficulty: 6.378540 Share difficulty: 45149.134946 Total block value: 25.082902 BTC including 67 transactions

so to understand payouts i guess you'd have to understand that your miner will report that it's finding hashes or w/e, but in this case there's about a 1/7000 chance it's found an actual share

the base difficulty is show it'll show up on the graph as actually having some activity

Up and running on an i5-3570S, 16GB RAM, 2x250GB Samsung 840 SSD, still being (mostly) powered by Solar PV.  Should be pretty fast now. :)  0% fee.

Ugh.  I'll be going through today to check list and add/remove and update fees etc.. This is exactly why the last list failed.  Nobody could follow the rules.  I wanted the list to be clean which is why in the first post I said to message me about your pool.

I'll see if I can get mods to clean it up once I'm finished.  Please guys/gals.. if you need a change, addition, removal, etc.. just PM me.

Updated.  Node added.  All nodes listed in RED are down.  They will be removed in 48 hours if not back up.  Fees have --NOT-- been checked, didn't have the time at this moment to check fees along with current up status of each node.  Will more than likely update the fees accordingly tomorrow (Saturday 10-26-13) at some point in the day.

I have set up a node and am looking for miners to help me test SVP.

This is my first node. There's no GUI yet.
Running steady now, no more restarting.
I'll be setting up a named site and dynamic dns - eventually.
I've bumped up the wallet tx fees to help sweeten the pot and also reduced the pool fee to .5% - which, I'll probably drop to .25% in the near future.
Temp. server seems to run good, changed settings here and there.

I just created a new p2pool node scanner at nodes.p2pool.co (http://nodes.p2pool.co).  The other ones were either too buggy and even at the times they were not I still could never figure out which p2pool to mine.  How much does latency matter over "efficiency if no miners"?  

So I created the P2Pool.co Node Scanner.  I think it is the best P2Pool node scanner out there.

It includes a scoring algorithm to highlight the best p2pool near your location, and it factors every datapoint and combines it into a p2pool score.

The latency numbers are much more realistic than other node scanners (compare our latency numbers to actual pings that you run yourself and compare them to the other p2pool node scanners).
