Title: 2017 was the year of Bitcoin, just like 2013 (The long HODL begins 2018-2020)
Post by: Dylan0o7 on December 26, 2017, 01:56:12 AM
I think those people who predict bitcoin will hit $100k end of next year just want people to join the hype train. What I believe is that bitcoin will reach 100k in 2020 (maybe a little sooner) and rocket to 1 million within that year. That will be the 3rd and final phase of bitcoin. What do you guys think?

The people hyping bitcoin definitely want people to join the hype train. Demand increases bitcoin's price.

While this years gains were amazing, they're unsustainable. Do I think bitcoin will continue to rise well over $100k? Absolutely. But not in the short amount of time most people are projecting. 2020 seems possible. Maybe even a few years after.

You should not compare year 2017 to year 2013. Yes it is similar because of their rally movements but that doesn't mean the 2018-2020 is the HODL Season, Bitcoin is entering the mainstream field for investments and tradings, as of now, the news are kinda cold on Bitcoin because of the holiday season, i guess. CME and other investment firms are also entering and considering Bitcoin as investment and for trading also which you cannot find on 2013. I only speculate things here, I think 2018 is the start of the year when Bitcoin will smashing and touching new highs because of the hype given by the mainstream media.

I think it can happen, in the crypto world many things are possible. does not make sense, but real. by the end of 2016 I know bitcoin when the price is $ 850, and now, over $ 12000.
bitcoin is not to be counted, but to be trusted

Yeah people forget the fact that bitcoin even reached 10,000 US dollar this year and yet they are still claiming that it is not just because it fails to reached 20,000 US dollar and have not attained their desired amount of price of bitcoin, I mean come on let us just be happy that it stays on 10,000 mark regardless of what happen that what happens when you don't have enough trust unto something.

agreed, people like John McAfee uses social media to promote bitcoin and other crypto currency investment to people, but it is working and it will soon reach that predicted value in 2020.

And I believe that this 3 stage will be the beginning of the end of bitcoin as a crypto currency. Judge for yourself, many have already begun to be disappointed in it, the resources are exhausted for mining and is there any further sense to keep it, just for the sake of price. About the price limit will be according to my forecasts up to 50k and then the decline to 1k.

well everyone has their own opinion. some know they are making an speculation and know how possible it is that their speculation comes true. nothing is 100%.

right now there is no reason for bitcoin to not rise more than this. 2018 will continue to be very similar to 2017 and 2019 will be even bigger than the previous 2 years and 2020 will be biggest of all since there is also block reward halving by that time.

i should also mention that there is no similarity between now and 2013. you either don't know what 2013 was like or you are trying to spread FUD.

I personally dont beleive that bitcoin will reach 1 million when ever. Yes, 2017 year is significant one for bitcoin, everyone knows it today and price is 15k, that means the price is not so far from the top and 100k is reasonable.
People use to think in way: "Bitcoins price was less then one dollar, today its 15k, it gonna keep this way forever". Its wrong, everything has a limit

The crash in early 2014, AFAIR, was considerably influenced by Mt.Gox bankruptcy. Now there is a lot of functioning exchanges, so at least this aspect of the situation is different. I doubt that there will be another 10x rise in 2018, but I also think that falling below $10k is unlikely. Return to $20k and rise to $50k is possible.
