Here is a list of what I’m currently hodling, in hopes that one will take off and make me a bit of profit this coming year. Would appreciate any recommendations to add. I’m looking for suggestions for relatively cheap coins, as I already hold some of the big guys (BTC, ETH, etc).

I agree with ADA and XRP others are risky for me. I will not buy other coins. I like to be safe.
ADA is the most promising project for 2018 and i support ADA.

Fun is very cheap and has some good buzz. Sub has a particulay impressive vision, more a long term thing, check it out, they boomed yesterday. Xvg has been disappointing considering all the hype.

These are the two I kept holding larger amounts of from earlier in the year and I still think both will end up being quite successful.  Pascalcoin is still one I'd put novice money in and leave it for a couple years.... Watch it grow 20x-50x+ though XBY should be at least a 5x yet, probably more.  They are both limited by the exchanges they trade on but that didn't stop raiblocks, another interesting one.  I find cryptopia to be a damn good exchange though.

I also own and like ark and syscoin at current prices and have some ardor but would not be a buyer here.  For the market cap they have they dont do anything other coins havent improved upon. NEM I like too but for percentage gainers there are better options.

I also have wagerr and am looking to see what happens when they launch the mainnet and what their new coin will look like when they spin off from the waves platform.

In highest % gainers I think will be XtraBytes, PoSW.

Huge gainers will be Stratis,Ark and the other platforms.

And highest market cap gainer will be XRP.

i would add KMD to that list :)
2018 is the year of komodo..

Good list it is almost the same as mine. I don't have Fun & Trx but i have small positions in XLM and Sia Coin. And also a position in NEO which I expect will have a very good beginning of 2018 but is probably out of cheap coins category.

From all mentioned cheap coins Ada is my favorite and if there is a dip in prices I will look to adding more.

It's a pretty good list, but I like to have some coins with small capitalization. First of all I'd like to add blitz into your list. There will be rebranding and blockchain changing soon, so it could be pumped much more than it is now ;)

UTN, ZRX, KNC - those are my favourites)

I think XBY, RDN and PRL + Top 20 coins will surprise us  ;)

Posw should do a rebranding. The name is cumbersome to pronounce and not really catchy or memorable.  Name means a lot aside from the tech.  I tried to get them to rename pascalcoin to "Pask" earlier in the year without success.    One syllable names with a 4 letter word that can be made to be catchy.

Quite a lot of coins you save,Cardano (ADA) has already entered top 10 in marketcapital. there is no harm in defending it.

Only agree with xrp, others is new and need more time to survive. For me, besides xrp, there's xmr and ltc for alternative cryptocurrencies holding for 2018. About btc and eth, I did just like you, but I choose not to invest but for trade. Cheap is fine but must has future, don't forget that and good luck to you.

I think it could be monero, Riecoin , Siacoin and Burst coin.

Nem waves and lisk definitely deserve a spot on that list.

Great potential and a lot of room to grow compared to some of the coins already on the list.

A good list. In my opinion, there should also be added several promising coins for growth in 2018 - Monero, Dash and Lisk.

Maybe you missed out Nem/Xem.. one of the some kind of undevalued coin. but sure because of its current number of partnerships using its own nemblock chain.. Nem will go to the moon...!

Those ones are the best coins to invest in 2018 almost every coin in this list are pretty cheap with a high potential of grow.

But one of the coins I would like to add to this is DATUM (dat)
