Title: Need advise on choosing an exchange
Post by: jamalnasir on December 26, 2017, 03:21:23 PM

hi everyone..

I'm from Pakistan and am having difficultly in choosing an exchange. I basically need an exchange to which I can depot amount using my debit card and withdraw in USD as well. I've tired coinbase but it doesn't work for my country. Cex rates are quite expensive compared to ones on coinmarketcap. Bittrex doesn't accept money through debit card and there is no option of withdrawing in fiat.

Kindly advise a reliable exchange.

A reliable exchange is an exchange trusted by many users and can accomodate large volume of trading, it must be a user-friendly or those easy to use and with a very active support and of course it's an exchange with the large variety of coins and tokens that listed for a wide range of option and choices.

Peer to peer exchange platform is what will work for you. Even in the US and Europe, you may find it very difficult to find an exchange that will offer the kind of service that you seek! However, p2p are very reliable since they have developed mechanism that protect buyer and seller over the years!

At present, the best exchanges trusted by many users are Binance, Cryptopia, and Kraken. You can create account in these exchanges. I don't have much idea about deposit and withdrawal of these exchanges.

Have you hear before about poloniex/bittrex?? This sites are more then popular others exchanger, I am using this and I don't see any problem (withdraw / deposit). You have to search Google how to deposit and withdraw from this sites. I think you can get your answer.

These are great options for now. It seems like other trading services are having issues as well. Bittrex was one of my tops but they have really started messing up their system.

OP, these are good ones. For now, stay away from Bittrex. They're scamming people and ignoring their tickets when they post them. The one way people were able to get their tickets reopened is when a thread went viral on Reddit. This is just not the way to operate an exchange.

I've checked both exchanges and cannot find how to deposit through debit card in USD and there seems to be no option of withdrawing in FIAT. Quite useless IMHO.

many thanks, however I've only found two exchanges that seem to be using debit card as an instrument of payment. CEX and Bitstamp - and both of them have a very limited number of coins.

My account is verified in CEX and it seems quite expensive.

Bitstamp and Bitfinex are taking forever to complete the verification process.

You cant deposit neither to poloniex not to bittrex using your debit card. You cant withdraw USD to your bank account. I always used kraken to withdraw and deposit Fiat currency. I dont know if you can do it tho, im not sure if it will support your bank branch

Well, I use and I triste in cryptopia. I use it always and I never had a problem. Its a really good exchanger and easy to understand. There are also a lot of good exchangers like bitfinex. Put your money in the bigest ones. And research a lot before you put your money inside it. Good luck choosing a good exchanger.

Already tried researching if you have local exchanges there? I mean, in most of the cases, we have our own bitcoin local exchanges where doing deposits and withdrawals is way more less hassle than dealing with an international exchanges such as those who are being stated here. I just used those global exchanges for trading purposes then transfer it to our local exchange where I can withdraw my BTC to fiat. Deposits is also convenient.

How about asking your local section here in this forum or social media group if you have local exchanges which might passed your criteria in terms deposits and withdrawals convenience and respective fees.

Most of the Asian countries would not be supported by the Coinbase and some top rank exchanges but as you said cryptopia and cex.io will be accepts the fiat deposit option. You will get the bitcoin deposit exchange alone with the localbitcoins site to use the fiat cash for bitcoin exchange.
I see localbitcoins is the best platform the people who want to start the exchanging platform for fiat with the perfect start.
If you select the value in the moderate price you will get the trade successful everyday.

I'm sure you would be able to find someone either through LocalBitcoins or Paxful.
There are a lot of sellers there that will accept debit card and usually they do not require you to get verified.

There are also sellers from Pakistan that will do exchanges in person if that's an option?

Yep, there are some of them, but not a lot unlike other countries. AFAIK cex.io caters a long list of countries for their exchange platform so you might get your fix there. However be reminded that cex.io sometimes display a rather over-the-top prices on the buy side so keep your heads up for that one. You can also try to see if there are nearby tellers/person that sells BTC in your area and give it a go.

for these operations I usually use localbitcoin although it charges a certain fee when depositing and withdrawing bitcoin, it´s very reliable when it comes to switching btc to fiat money. what I'm not sure is that this platform is included in Pakistan.

But that's not a big problem as long as you can still try to send your coin to another exchange that listed so many altcoin just like binance. Bitfinex is closed the new registration. And bitstamp looks very good place to buy such major coin.

But with the current rate of the bitcoin and the cex fees looks enough.

The advice is only depending on what do prefer. For example you want many choices of altcoin. So bittrex is the answer.
The other option of exchanger is binance. It is on top popular one too so thats mean binance is good choice too.

It is best to always choose several exchanges as there might not be coins you want to purchase on any specific exchange. KUCOIN, COSS, BINANCE and BITTREX are exchanges that I mainly go on as well as cryptopia and livecoin sometimes as well. HITBTC I used to trade on but their fees for withdrawals are terrible so decided against them and withdrawing my funds from there asap once I sell my coins at the price I want to sell them at as I do not want to sell them at a loss at this point.

I think you people are not understanding what exactly OP is looking for, he wants to deposit money using cards and withdraw in USD. in bittrex this option is not there and if you find any other websites, surely they will not give you exact price what coinmarketcap will show. I think to find some local exchanges this is the best option.

exactly! I think most of the people did not get what am looking for....

I can buy using localbitcoins but its expensive compared to international exchanges + if I transfer from it to another exchange like bittrex then there is a fee and the headache is that I cannot withdraw money in USD from bittrex as well.

Crypto is really simplifying our lives... lol
