Just picked up my first ASIC miner. Got a Baikal cube miner (150 mh/s 40w) and I'm all excited. Need to grab a PSU still, but does anyone who mines DeepOnions have any advice or warnings for me? Anything you wish you knew before you got started?

I had not mined DeepOnion but I think it will be more profitable to join airdrop and participate in the forum because it is the easier way to get free Onions. As far as your miner is concerned, you can use it in mining other alt coins.

I made with about 19 GH
Ca. 45 - 50 Onions per day

But actually the Pool is Not big enought ans the Nethash
to high. Yesterday i was Mining 3 Hours ans get only 4 onions

Over the last Month before the DDOS Attacks i mined 1400 Onions

Do you thin it's possible to mine in this pools with CPU (Core i7 and Xeon ?)
I try to mine with CPUMiner, on stratum+tcp://onionminers.youngwebsolutions.com:17666, i have a low rate 26 kH/s average / threads, but in the Yougwebsolutions's dashboard i see any active workers. It's a bug ?

On the pool are a lot of miners with low Hashrates, but can‘t Tell you ob Mining with gpu or cpu..
26 KH is really low, i think you are faaaaaaar away from 1 Onion per day.

Buying an ASIC Miner isnt an Option ? 😉

Actually i have an IT Infrastructure with approximately 5 PC with i7, 20 PC with i3 and 2 server with Xeon E5. So it's why i ask this question ! They're 24H/24 online. But in view of my low hash with an i7 (26 kH/s) i think it's completely useless.

So, for mine now DeepOnion (and another altcoin in the future ?) the better it's to go on an ASIC Miner or build an GPU rings ?  I can have a budget of 2K€ / 5K€

i bougth my Asics on asicminermarket.com and EBay 😉
Actually its cheaper to buy on Ebay, Last Miner i bought there was about 900€... with the actual Price of Onion, there Is an ROI in ca. 3 month.
I hope that the Nethash didnt explode like on x11 Algo, and mining with the Giant+ stay on Profit for long Time

I also got mine on ebay. Baikals are hard as hell to find right now unfortunately :/, I tried looking at some other places but they get bought up in a matter of minutes

If only you knew back in September/October! Ebay was literally flooded with the older Baikals after the dash Antminers came out. Prices bottomed out around $.50/Mhs. I saw a 900 go for ~$450.

Ah shit, seriously?! I'll have to pay attention to the next round of Antminers then! Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Unfortunately I didn't find out about the DeepOnion party until December :(

One Baikal Giant+ gives you about 2 to 3 onions a day now.
