Segwit2x is a hardfork. Pretty much has no impact to the main bitcoin chain in terms of fees.

I think when the Segwit2x is successful, will the transaction fee be drastically reduced? Also, it seems that Segwit2x doesn't get everyone's approval, can it be implemented smoothly?

The transaction fee had been different on exchanges and in some exchanges it changes with the price of bitcoin and amount been sent but I dont think the recent segwit had improved the transaction/transfer period

funny how BTC core said before it should be like gold, a store of value not cash. Now they are promoting how great it can be using Lightning to buy coffee at starbucks...

I really think there will be mixed emotion regarding the upcoming hard fork it will be a prior selling to newbies, that don't understand how to be safe with the impending Fork, and a hodling For the people in the community that have experience in certain Hard Forks like this, Because the value of bitcoin will sure to continue going up then there are many that will keep on Hodling their bitcoin.

Then what is the benefit we get as bitcoiner beside of free coin?
I hope this fork can reduce the fee and make the transaction faster. But if not then sad.

Since it's a hardfork, it doesn't have any impact on Bitcoin itself and I doubt it will have much impact in general.
Segwit2x's founder, Jaap Terlouw, has said something interesting however, they will be redistributing part of Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoins to supporters.

Does anyone know how this would work?

The founder also promised that in addition to the common practice of crediting BTC holders with equivalent balances of the new coin (B2X), they would also receive “a proportional number of Satoshi Nakamoto’s Bitcoins as a reward for their commitment to progress.”

What will happen is bitcoin price is become stronger if there is any fork because bitcoiner want to get free coin which they can sell it to get profit. Bitcoiner always like free coin from.bitcoin fork including me. So bitcoin price will grow stronger today.

Segwit2x has nothing to do with bitcoin or its fee.It is a hard fork which would probably create an altcoin bitcoin segwit 2x instead of replacing the true bitcoin. But what i'm surprised is that last time,it was dropped since they were not able to get a block in size greater than 2 MB size to activate it.I don't know how they would get such a block tomorrow.

I have researched about segwit2x, one of the reason why it has been created because of the fees in a transaction. The priority of the miners are the transaction that has a high fees and that's why charges are highly increasing. In order for the blockchain not to be fulled easily by history of transaction a group form an answer to resolve this case and that is segwit. I found out that there are two division, the first one is to eliminate the signature while the other one is to add up a blocksize. Because of infinite ideas the two groups are in conflict. That is the result why segwit2x came up.
I think it will have impact in the system because it is created to avoid high transaction fees.

this is yet another altcoin from a series of altcoins such as bitcoin gold, bitcoin silver, bitcoin diamond, bitcoin god, bitcoin ... and they do nothing but make the developers richer because they add a premine to their shitcoins so they can dump it all on the market and get the money out and go away.

it is more like a joke. i was actually tempted to create a new fork  for myself and call it bitcoin joke fork. that would be funny to see how it will work out. maybe it can become the second Doge!

Primary, this is a fake coin, isn't it? There is 2,000,000 coins premined on this Bitcoin Segwit2x fork I heard. In that case it does not have much hope for life.

It's just another hard fork and it should not make any impact on Bitcoin, so the transaction fees still will be an issue.

My question is how they make the coin grow with people's interest. They mostly have no use not even for payment as substitute for bitcoin. I think about the coin future anyway, probably in 5 years.
