Post by: Necroface on December 27, 2017, 11:19:41 AM
Hi guys,
i bought 2 ide to sata converter for old hdd and dvd, those small red cards. Hdd works so slow(at least it works) but dvd doesnt work. At the installation comp thinks its a zero capacity hdd and in windows it seems as unidentified connected object  8) any ideas to make it works?

Try swapping out the working converter on the HDD with the one of the DVD.

If it works, the problem is the converter you swapped out.
If it doesn't work, the problem is probably the DVD.

cs means because?  sheesh, stop being so lazy.   ;)

The jumper setting should be easy if I remember - slave or master. Most modern DVDs make that selection automatically so jumpers are not needed.
