And it is very funny to realize that mcafee is asking for 20 btc + a 15% of the total supply of the coin in order to pump a coin  :D
The last one that he tried to pump was Tron, and it was pumped only by 5%.

Well, not everyone blindly follow everything McAffee said. Just a mention of some famous and everyone come to buy so the price push up.

The one where 'he' says he'll pump any coin for 25 BTC + 15% of total supply of coins.

Theres many screenshots of him saying Verge will be 15$ and other nonsense.. people knows how influential he is...

Yeah.

In the same time, it's wise not to take him too seriously. His incentives are not aligned with yours. We have to publish quality signals for you (and ourselves) to make money. He gets tons of it either way.

Information shouldn't really come at a premium in this market. Let's not forget that you're actually helping yourself if you can inform others of a good opportunity, it works very similarly to a pump and dump but just the fact that it's legit is different. I always think that if someone is so good with their calls and signals that they wouldn't need to charge for them as they could be making enough off of them anyway.

You don't. You just hodl and cry a little when the market turns red and your portfolio shows numbers so small you even didn't know existed.

Yeah. Agreed :). I did some simulations on the stop-loss and didn't work out well unless you invested into true shit coins in the first place.

Yes. On the other hand if you do have any kind of a good information that others are willing to pay for, it's economically only rational to charge for the information.

I can see some people trying to justify all these pump and dump but they need to be wary of the big brothers because this can be term market manipulation and i'm very sure there will be inside trading around this

Yeah inside trading must be HUGE in this industry.

It's called clickbait, and shame on you ;) But all right, if I am to give you a chance, what are your credentials? Why should we give value to your assessments? I don't like McAfee at all but at least he has some sort of track record at knowing a thing or two about computer security. You can be free, you can even give us money and free crypto, but what makes your advice good for us to listen to?

Oh and, tell us what you get out of this? We're an open community here, aren't we?

I work for a big client (and myself) in active crypto portfolio management services. Once I have a free hand to publish more I intend to disclose a "balance sheet" where you'd see if those coins signals outperform bitcoin. Otherwise what is the point.

Yeah, McAffee does have very strong credentials in an important field and he is a good entertainer. I just wanted to point out the incentives seem to me not aligned which means his self-interest doesn't correlate that much with a crypto investor's self-interest => don't model after his selfishness (not a moral statement, just a reference to game theory).

We need to find the truth behind his tweets :) If he pumps his own portfolio...well...hats off for him :D

Thank you for responding. I usually don't expect a response so your reply alone says quite a bit about your ambitions and intentions! Ah yes, that balance sheet will be extremely important.  A lot of groups or signal services offer some sort of similar portfolio, but none are actually 100% transparent - since it would open them up to all manner of criticism. But since you're free you should do this, there's not much to lose, and a lot more to gain if you actually do well! And exactly, what would be the point if not sharing right?

And I know about the reference, was just a jab from me. Keep them coming, amigo.

I see most of the discussions tied to John McAffee as 'FOMO'.

I saw what Verge used his tweet and i could just read inbetween the line that it was a marketing gimmick orchestrated to woo inexperienced investors who move in droves.

Like I always say, do your research and never regret any investment not made. There are tons of better opportunities out there, the only issues is 'Would you recognise it when it's staring at you'.

Keep a clear head and stay positive.

Most of his twits are just his shiling of coins for wich he is paid for.Right now there are bots that read his twits and insta buy that coin on exchange, this cause certain exchange to crash for 15-20 min affter his twits like bitrex and binance. Then his twitter account got hacked and people with bots got rekt, dont think anyone is taking him serous right now

So in my sight you want to compete with mcaffee twitter which shilling a coin and then the coin get volume then pump ?
Good luck with that. Mcaffee has many die hard and follower. But hours ago i see his twitt become weird twit. Maybe his twitter been hacked or something. He shill abount ptoy or other shit coin.

So what youre saying is ,at the first mcafee didnt make any tweet about a coin and all those tweets on his account was created by the hacker? If yes, then why mcafee did not publish it at earlier time?

McAffee got hacked he said, but I think he just ran a big pump and dump scheme. Quite surprising with the coin of the day.

This is manipulation of the market by McAffee....be careful to buy the coins suggested by this guy, because they pump a lot, but then they suddenly collapse

I think there is a separate destination from John Mc afee make tweet about token/coins. maybe his teams wants to take advantage of the price increase after the investor follow his advice.
