I have played several and never got the extra returned. I thought that was part of the risk? Can others comment on if returning extra is standard practice, so I know for future games? I guess if you didn't have enough to pay the next person in line there would be a little left over. I guess you could give what's left to the next person in line, give it to a random person, or divide it up for those you didn't get anything? I'm not sure what the others do though.
