Title: How do we quickly convert to euro in bad times?
Post by: borgx on December 27, 2017, 01:59:18 PM
I have alot of coins, but with most corrections, all coins take a hit. What exchange allows you to exchange to euros?

Im currently using Cryptopia.

I use bitstamp, they allow you to exchange to euro but they only support BTC, ETH, XRP, LTC and BCH.

As you say this is one of the disadvantages that many without any platform can provide the needs of the trader. So you can just sell your altcoin and transfer to bitstamp and trading through euro.

check out Kraken.
it has Euro markets and also it is a trusted exchange with a high enough liquidity for you to be able to trade freely.
there are also many good options on their platform including a pretty good API with lots of good features.

depends where you're from, but the easiest way I guess would be to find a BTC ATM. You could also try localbitcoins and have the money transfered to your account.

Cryptopia has NZDT which is the equivalent of Tether - ie a coin pegged to fiat value.

If you don't want to go anywhere else that's what you can use to ride out coin storms. I've no idea who or what is backing it or whether it's legit so use at one's own risk.

I don't know if this could help but you can try to have one of those wallets where you can exchange Bitcoin to your Fiat Currency instantly with its current market price. Because here in my country one of our local wallet providers have two wallets representing one for Bitcoin and another one for the Fiat Currency it is a pretty convenient way for you to shift your money to Fiat Currency if you don't want to participate to the current volatility of the market
