Hey guys! I am relatively new to crypto and I woud like to have some feedback on my Portfolio :)

40% Ripple
25% BTC
15% Cardano
8% Lisk
5% Ethereum
4% Iota
1% Litecoin
1% Siacoin
1% Stellar Lumen


I have doubled my money with this Portfolio. I am looking to invest 50% of my initial investements in other Altcoins, any suggestions?

40% Xrp to 40% Stratis ( next year you should be thankful for that)
Change Cardano to something else 15% Omisego
4% iota to Qtum
Get rid of Sia
Add 1% Wtc
1% Neo/waves ( i dont like these projects , its all about hype ,but lets ride the hype train i guess )

I think that it's a bit late to go in Ripple now that it is at an all time high. The central foundation could always issue more tokens, lessening the value of existing ones too. It's kinda risky to hold it if your entry price was high in my opinion.

Overvalued , that definitely not In the same level with other projects i suggested , new investors pump it too much because its cheap 0.03$  . Newbies only see the price per token but they dont realize the whole marketcap of it almost 1 billion $. ( Also true with Ada and Iota which is over 10b $ )

I'm sure everyone understands that 2018 will be the year of alternative crypto currency, and now it's time to buy promising coins.

Analyzing many other projects on such criteria as the total number of coins, work in the community, self-financing, technology, and, after seeing how the developer works, I made a choice.

I agree, but since my entry price was pretty low (around 0.4$) and Ripple was the first coin I invested in I am gonna keep them and prepare for the road to mars

40% Ripple - lower your investment in ripple, it won't move too much. Also i heard banks dont actually need ripple to use its function. But then again I'm not too well read into ripple
25% BTC - i like this. A lot of investors put 35% of their PF into very stable investments
15% Cardano - not sure if its worth the hype. But solid team, if you went in early then stick with it
8% Lisk
5% Ethereum - would increase stakes in ETH. Perhaps transfer from ripple?
4% Iota - love the idea of IoT. Good team, good idea. Would hold it if you went in early. Also, IOTA is up against amazon. Something to consider
1% Litecoin
1% Siacoin
1% Stellar Lumen - ETH on roids

I would add BCH

If you fall in love with ripple then just sell half of your stack or take back initial invesment and invest in another project. So you still have half of your lovely Ripples lol.
The chance for Ripple x2 now is soooo low compared to other potential projects .

you are too much exposed on ripple, you should balance putting BTC as first  than eth (accumulate it right now as soon as it's cheep), then my persona advice are to bet on:
-ZRX
-RDN
-ZILLIQUA
-WAN
-NEBLIO
-STRATIS
-REQ
-ZEC
-XZC

I see all good coin which probably will give you profit, but there are few missing coins which are good too. In my opinion good investment will be buy some waves and neo

So you like big caps (TOP 20). So i think you want a reasonable reward/low risk portfolio.
40% of one coin is way to much. so we need do diversify. your coins seems ok, but maybe you need to rethink a little bit.

first of all:

- do you know your coins very well? i am not an expert in ADA, but they are new and have no working product? Do you think the mcap is justified atm? do you think 0,03 cent + is justified for a coin 31,396,146,174 coinsupply and its increasing (siacoin)? Do you really think ETH can have double its mcap without that btc is increasing? Thats very important because you want win BTC, or?

-  Is it true, that the IOTA wallet doesnt work?! I am not a ADA /SC /IOTA/ ETh hater or something, but thats makes the risk/reward for look bad me.

- which coins do you  think will be next year in the top 20? The same one like today? which ones can you give 10x against BTC?

- maybe you should consider to diversify in 40 % highcaps (xrp, lsk, btc, xmr, omg, kyber) , 40 % midcaps (ardr, xlm, strat, sys, kmd) , 20% lowcaps (shift, lbc)?

I vote +1 for BCH, it is very promising investment   :P

I do not think it is late to go in Ripple. It is not at all time high in bitcoin price. If you say in US dollars value, every altcoin is at all time high, so you must think the same thing for all.

I think that portfolio is ok for now  ;)

Because recent price correction on bitcoin most of the people changes their investment on the cheap altcoins so they chosen the ripple as the first investment coin in the market. So their marketplace has been increased and little demanded also from the past 1 month or 20 days.
Once the bitcoin segwit correction has been increased the block size. Then you will get the bitcoin price increased in the price chart and then demand again will be increased.

I have the Ethereum and the Stellar！
I like Stellar more，I think its price will be similar to the Ripple!

If you have no Monero I dont really think you will do good. But you have some BTC so I guess you will survive.

40% Ripple that is too high IMO, why can't you scale it down and invest in project will stronger features to offer, I don't see more of privacy coin in your portfolio also, there will always be a strong demand for them

I will not suggest anything as you already know what to do.

Since you already able to doubled your money with that portfolio then why just stick on it and only do some modifications on your current strategy. If you still really want to take another altcoins then you have to test it if it will be effective along the way so it's a must that you need to risks some in order to know the result.

I am pretty new to this as you can see and just wondering of how much investment you all talk about? I mean 1% - that is 100 dollars out of 10000 - is it really worth something? Or are you all millionaires here so that you talk like 100% are 1 million?

I am happy that I started with 2000 dollars 3 weeks ago and now I am at 2700 :D. I want to be a holder or what ever those guys are called here :)

Thanks! You have brought Up Mandy valid Points i will think about. AS I stated in the post i Said that I am going to Invest around 50% of my Initial Investment. I will Not sell ripple AS I thought about it and i really believe in the coin but I am going to Exchange some fiat to diversify

Missing RAIBLOCKS (XRB) .  Have you not noticed it's killing every coin moving up the list and unaffected by BTC crashes and dips while only listed on 2 tiny exchanges?

Well, everybody has their own portofolio statistic. They have different percentage and the different coin.
Anyway, actually people put bitcoin in the frist place and not the other altcoin.

I rate your portfolio 2.5 out of 5.
First, you have too much Ripple. You should balance your coins.
You have too much Cardano and not enough Ethereum.
You have %8 Lisk but only %1 Litecoin. Interesting.
You don't have Neo or Omg or Kmd. You don't have Waves. You should sell your Ripple and split the money into these coins.

Switch ripple with ETH. Worst move to put in 40% in ripple, it's at its ATH probably gonna drop soon. Reduce the amount in lisk and put that in iota. And it's a good time to buy BTC so probably increase some there.

Mine is very similar. I like it a lot. Good luck for us both

I think you'r investing too much in bitcoin, take some out and do more investment on IOTA project.

Congrats! For a newbie to crypto and you have already doubled your portfolio that tells me you got in at a really good time or you already know what you are doing. So why do you even need our opinion at all?
But any case if you want feedback on your portfolio I would definitely reduce your exposure to XRP (I think it hit an ATH already) and take out Stellar, Sia, and Litecoin. So what you should have in the end --- this is my opinion you don't have to follow it ---- 20% BTC, 20% Cardano, 20% Ethereum, 20% IOTA, and 20% Lisk. Let me tell you why I would do the following ---- different blockchain technologies. Each of the cryptocurrencies offer something new to the blockchain technology and have the opportunity to grow exponentially as user adoption increases. The 20% BTC is a hedge bet against all your other 4 just in case BTC does an insane bull run and BTC is the name everyone knows and desires.

too late to get into ripple plus the company behind it has about 50 billion or so in reserve that will be coming onto the market in tranches so I do not expect the price to move much more. I would suggest you get an anonymity coin or 2 to replace ripple, governments are looking to regulate crypto more and more so anonymity coins become more valuable in that scenario.

Though I believe Ripple value will increase, I think many buyers are tempted to buy it due to its low coin value, while ignoring the market cap

Lisk is nice and one of my favourite so you could put more to increase its stake.

I always like to have 40% in BTC and spread the remaining.

I'd highly recommend to reduce % of BTC and increase the amount of ETH, IOTA and Stellar. You were very lucky with Ripple, I should say :)

Deepbrain chain is gonna get hyped so get on the train while its cheap atm. Other options which can make you a nice return in my opinion are: Network Request, Raiblocks, Xspec and Cappasity! Do your own research and invest with care.

If i were you i should focus more on Bitcoin, Ethereum,Litecoin,Ripple. This are the trend and has higher chance to get pumped this month.Get hooked up in Ripple theres a chance it maybe the next Bitcoin but on time basis.

i believe it will change a little by the time passes, but i can see that you made a research about the coins you hold

Some positions are nice, for example, Stellar, ETH, Cardano. But I don't like % of Ripple and Litecoin. I would go 20% / 20% with them.
I would also add 20-30% of NEO, but don't know what to remove  :)

I dont like small amount like 1%, especially for coins with big capitalisations. Also I would replace Ripple with NEO, Nebulas and Request Network.

I advise you to keep only promising anonymous coins.

Think 40% in one coin is to much. Although I do like Ripple (and they are my main investment as well). But this mainly due to the big increase in price, as my initial investment was low in it.

Based on what others are saying in this forum, I suggest that you change Ripple to other good altcoins out there. I lost my trust in Ripple since they say it'll make things centralized as it is connected to banks which isn't really good for crypto.

I totally agree with it! No need to have ripple in your pocket. It's useless and speculative only. Nothing else. NEO and ETH can be bought more instead of it. Maybe waves can be added to the list with high percentage. Waves is gonna be big in the future.

40% Ripple -- That's too much, sell as much as possible. I would sell all.
25% BTC -- Reasonable amount in Bitcoin, keep it.
15% Cardano -- I don't trust this coin in long term.
8% Lisk -- Same thoughts in Cardano.
5% Ethereum -- Raise this % in your portfolio.
4% Iota -- Seems OK.
1% Litecoin -- You can raise this too.
1% Siacoin -- Meh.
1% Stellar Lumen -- Meh.

You should add NEO to your portfolio.

I like bitcoin, ethereum.

Ripple I don't like at all, controlled by few whales, pump and dump coin.
Cardano - I wonder how it got so much market cap. If you bought cheap you can hold.
lisk - They have some flaws in their code, might dump

Others are not worth commenting because you have very limited amount

I like your portfolio because I also invests in ethereum, litecoin, and ofcourse the btc. Why you didnt add the edge and neo they are also good investment. Edgeless has its release edgeless platform that its price can make it to go high. The rest coin in your portfolio maybe you can add a little percent.

Might consider converting your bitcoin to alts or reduce it because i think its too high, well i am thinking of profit so holding btc today might not be good for profit purposes and its having a hard time to pump lately unlike in alts where pump is normal.

Hey guys! Thanks again for all the good advice and different opinions on my Portfolio. After doing some research I shifted some stuff in my portfolio in the recent dip:

25% XRP
20% BTC
10% ADA
10% WABI
8% PRL
8% KCS
5% LSK
5% OMG
~10% Split into many small positions like $SUB, $IOTA and $NEO

I also have around 1000$ in different ICO like CargoX and Crypterium would be nice if some of you can comment on those too :)

If I rate your portfolio from 1 to 10 I would give 3 or 4 max. First of all you have too many Ripple. I don't trust that government coin at all.
You have too many Cardano, Lisk and Iota. I wouldn't hold those coins in my portfolio. You don't have balance in your portfolio. You don't have good promising coins (Neo, Vechain, Oyster, Wabi etc.). You might want to change some coins and holding percentage.

Why do you tink cardano lisk and iota is bad? And I've made around 600% on Ripple so I don't think that's too many :)

You need add  Spectrecoin (XSPEC) very promising private coin

I would changed ripple to the EOS+ETHOS. The projects has huge potential but ripple has hight risk to drop down. As for me itis not good coin

Cardano is overrated, they basically only have a white paper. I really don't like Ripple and think that no banks ever will use it.
Selling IOTA and Lisk now would be the dumbest thing ever. They will have a very strong Q1.

As I understand Cardano already launched testnet.

You just have a 1% for more than five coins, why are you investing like this? Maybe if your portfolio's value is more than $100,000 it would be fine.. But more than 10 tokens in there and diversified on just a 1%? No way mate.

I think you should reduce XRPand you need to add a privacy coin. DeepOnion has the potensial to boom, but also ZenCash can climb to new hights. Keep your BTC, but you need a higher % of ether. You want more alts you have alot to pick from now when theyare so cheap. Look at INT it could be your ticket to heaven.

I think your portfolio is good, but if you can suggest that you add Bch in your portfolio at least change the 20% and 20% bch ripples. I have good thoughts for this coin.

Your portfolio consists of high quality coins with high volüme I do not think you will lose Money

Get out of Ripple, they already messed up when it was tested by a japanese company. Additionally, Stellar seems to have the better codebase, so maybe just switch to it.
Cardano is way overhyped, lower this amount to 5%. I really like your other coins (though i would lower the amount of BTC since i believe it will crash by the the end of 2018).

You may consider investing some money into coins with lower market cap. For 2018, especially coins focused on development will be bullish (like ETH, NEO & QTUM), as well as coins attached to exchanges / DEX's (like BNB, Kucoin, Bitshares & Komodo).
