Title: How do you use a peerlist for staking coins?
Post by: paramind22 on December 27, 2017, 04:24:46 PM
I have added nodes to .conf files but never updated using the information I just received.  This is for the Bitcointalk (TALK) coin, which is one of about 8 low entry coins, awesome percentage of staking, but not too high that it crashes the price.  My other list is Truckcoin, RAIN, Version, Growthcoin, Chesscoin, Bottlecaps (exchange account being repaired presently), Compound, 1337 and HealthyWorm.  Some of these you stake for DOGE or LTC, like 1337 and Compound.

Here is the information for the peerslist:

ok, here we go -

   first, you have to parse the list for the nodes, while you're at it format the text for entry into the conf:

addnode=84.226.243.13:64269
addnode=65.190.19.68:50557
addnode=51.255.157.116:50557
addnode=76.169.57.92:54172
addnode=51.254.45.117:58608
addnode=148.251.8.18:52530
addnode=217.175.119.125:46904
addnode=200.171.250.253:56158
addnode=45.37.208.151:62701
addnode=94.242.171.160:11420

then to create the .conf:

open notepad
copy-paste the addnodes above into it
save the file as btctalkcoin.conf
double check, before you start the wallet that it is saved as btctalkcoin.conf and not btctalkcoin.conf.txt
start the wallet, it should hook - up   :)

  you can also add the nodes one at a time using the CLI, using the following format:

           addnode 84.226.243.13:64269 add

but that only works for the first three nodes if i understand right
